Under the plugin-based architecture of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), the community maintains an independent plugin directory. Before installation, developers usually need to leave the DSH environment and manually check a plugin’s health score, compatibility, and version drift in a browser. dsh-insights-kit addresses this pain point by directly embedding DSH Insights ecosystem health checks, scenario-based recommendations, and dynamic monitoring capabilities into the DSH Web interface.

This is a lightweight client for the DSH Insights (dsh-insights.com) ecosystem observatory. It is maintained by developer ice5kysl and released under the MIT License. It allows DSH users to view plugin health scores, perform pre-installation checks, and obtain scenario-based recommendations entirely within the Web interface.

Core Features

This plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:

  1. Health Check
Reads the manifests of installed plugins and batch-checks health scores, npm version drift, and compatibility. The interface displays S-D ratings, version compatibility signals, and potential BREAKING update warnings.
  2. Plugin Inspection
Enter an owner/repo or GitHub URL to get the plugin’s detailed health card, score, install/uninstall buttons, and similar recommendations.
  3. Scenario-Based Recommendations
Browse plugin lists by scenario and click to jump to the inspection page.
  4. One-Click Install/Uninstall
Operates on local configuration directly via pnpm and dsh.profile.bundles, with hot-mount support.
  5. CLI Self-Check
Provides a command-line tool for health checks of local directories.

Installation and Enablement

The plugin currently does not provide an official one-click install command. It must be obtained through other means (for example, pulling the source code directly from GitHub or loading a bundle through dsh’s plugin management system).

Make sure your DSH version is not lower than 0.1.1-rc.2. The plugin’s data flow is handled through host-side routes and ctx.webServer.register.

Typical Usage

Web Interface
Click the ✦ button at the bottom of the dsh Web sidebar to open the “Ecosystem” panel and run a health check. In the “Inspection” panel, enter a plugin name to check its health status and install it using the one-click button.

CLI Tool
Use the CLI tool to check the health status of a local plugin directory.

npx dsh-insights-kit selfcheck /abs/path/to/your-plugin

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is suitable for developers who need to frequently check the health of the plugin ecosystem, discover new plugins by scenario, or manage local plugin configurations.

  • Environment Requirement: Target DeepSeek Harness version ≥ 0.1.1-rc.2.
  • Interface Language: Supports bilingual Chinese and English, with automatic detection of browser language.
  • Security and Permissions: The CLI tool runs in read-only mode and does not modify directories; one-click operations on the Web are constrained by the host-trust gate and pnpm environment configuration.
  • Pre-installation Check: Before modifying local configuration through the plugin, it is recommended to review the source code and license.

Summary

By building an “Ecosystem” panel inside DSH Web, dsh-insights-kit improves the transparency of plugin health status and enables scenario-based discovery, reducing the cost of cross-tool operations. For more details, see the plugin directory or the GitHub repository.
