Introduction

DeepSeek Harness archives old conversations so they no longer appear in the regular sidebar list. When you need to review history or clean up disk space, it can be difficult to work with these archived conversations directly. This plugin adds a dedicated entry at the bottom of the sidebar for browsing, reading, and permanently deleting these hidden conversations.

Plugin Overview

This is a client-side plugin maintained by developer HuangLM03. It provides a panel at the bottom of the sidebar, allowing users to view the full content of archived conversations (including tool-call records) and to restore or completely delete these conversations. The plugin supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, as well as DSH Desktop and dsh web.

Install and Enable

Run the following command in a terminal where the dsh command is available. After installation, restart DeepSeek Harness or DSH Desktop to see the sidebar entry.

Install command:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:HuangLM03/dsh-plugin-session-archive

Notes:
* If you install from a local path, add quotes if the path contains spaces.
* If you are using dsh web, change --profile desktop to --profile web.

Core Features

  • Browse archived conversations: Click “Archived Sessions” at the bottom of the sidebar to open the panel. Conversations are grouped by workspace.
  • View full content: Expand a conversation to view the complete chat history, including user input, assistant replies, and tool calls with results.
  • Restore conversation: Click a conversation to restore it to its original workspace.
  • Permanent deletion: Deletion removes the conversation from the archived list and disk logs, and the action cannot be undone.
  • Bulk deletion: Multi-select mode is supported. Check multiple conversations and then click Delete.
  • Refresh list: Reload the archived conversation list.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the panel: Click “Archived Sessions” at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. View content: Expand a conversation to view the full chat history.
  3. Restore conversation: Click a conversation to restore it to its original workspace.
  4. Bulk cleanup: Select multiple conversations and click “Delete” to remove them.

Notes

  • Irreversible: Deletion cannot be undone. Conversations and logs are completely removed from the system.
  • Single selection only: Restoration does not support multi-selection and must be done one conversation at a time.
  • Theme follows DSH: UI language and colors follow the DSH settings.
  • Restart required: After installation, you must restart DSH Desktop or DeepSeek Harness to see the sidebar entry.
