When developing with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), managing Pull Request feedback and review status can become fragmented. Missing important code review comments or CI failure information reduces development efficiency. dsh-pr-guardian is an inbox tool dedicated to managing PR feedback. It is maintained by Harzva and aims to address missed feedback and status tracking issues.

Plugin Overview

This is a PR management inbox for DSH, supporting shared progress state with Codex and providing read-only collection management for open GitHub pull requests. It converts GitHub comments, reviews, and threads into structured feedback data, helping developers prioritize critical tasks.

Installation and Activation

Before installation, ensure that your environment meets the following requirements:
* Authenticated GitHub CLI (gh auth status)
* Git
* Node.js 24+
* Compatible DSH version: 0.1.1-rc.2
* Compatible Cordis version: 4.0.1
* Compatible React version: 18.2.0

Run the following commands to install the plugin and start DSH:

dsh --profile web

After installation, open PR Guardian in the DSH sidebar and refresh GitHub to synchronize the data.

Core Features

  1. Feedback panel: The sidebar provides a searchable feedback panel with pagination for regular comments, formal reviews, and review threads (including nested comments).
  2. PR discovery: Automatically discovers open pull requests authored by the currently active gh account.
  3. Priority handling: Supports prioritizing human feedback, favorites, CI failures, and conflicts.
  4. State management: Local version-bound state management. Edited feedback becomes pending. Favorites and statuses such as pending/investigated/awaiting user are retained after restart. Resolved threads and superseded reviews are distinguished.
  5. Security isolation: The management API contains no GitHub write operations and only performs read-only data collection.

Typical Usage

The plugin provides a management CLI tool, located by default in the $DSH_HOME/dsh-pr-guardian/management directory (can be specified via --state-dir).

  1. Sync and list
    First sync the latest PR and comment data, then list all pending feedback:
    node bin/guardian-management.mjs sync
    node bin/guardian-management.mjs list
  1. Mark favorites
    Favorite a specific PR using the CLI command:

  1. Local diagnostics and monitoring
    Check the local environment status, or run a single monitoring scan:
    node bin/dsh-pr-guardian.mjs doctor

  1. Generate report
    Generate a report for the last 7 days:
    node bin/dsh-pr-guardian.mjs report --days 7

Use Cases and Considerations

  • State sharing: To share progress between Codex and DSH, use the same stateDirectory path.
  • Search limit: The search scope is limited to 1,000 open pull requests authored by the current account.
  • Push limit: The --push flag is subject to global and repository switches, and the “7-day gate” requirement must be met to enable it. Push functionality is disabled by default in the current version.
  • File lock: State files use an exclusive write lock. If you encounter a WRITER_BUSY error, check and clean up the writer.lock file.
