Introduction

In DeepSeek Harness (DSH), after an agent modifies workspace files, reviewing changes and directly performing git operations usually requires switching to an external terminal. dsh-git-review, as a client-side plugin, registers a Review tab in the session view and provides a fenced git workbench. It integrates the file tree, diff view, and commit graph with protected git operations in a single interface, making it easier to review context and perform actions.

Core Features

Review Tab and Diff Viewing

The plugin registers a Review tab for displaying the comparison between the workspace repository and HEAD. It supports a filterable file tree and shows badges on files and statuses. The diff view supports side-by-side, unified, and full-file modes, with code folding, word-level highlighting, and syntax highlighting. Search is supported in file names, diff text, and file content. Keyboard-based operations are supported: use j/k to move between files, and / to focus search.

Commit Graph View

A commit graph view is provided, allowing you to inspect files and diffs by commit, displays hunk gutters, and supports viewing by file history. It allows reading any file version from history.

Protected Git Operations

Protective mechanisms are provided for dangerous operations. It supports staging, unstaging, and discarding files/hunks; committing; committing and pushing; and pushing. It supports branch management operations: create, switch, rename, delete, merge, track remote, as well as fetch/pull. It supports history operations: reset, rebase, amend, cherry-pick. It supports lightweight tags (create, delete, push) and stash. It supports merge conflict resolution.

Annotations and Preview

It supports adding annotations to any line in a diff and placing them into an editor draft. It supports file preview, including Markdown, HTML, and PDF. It supports image diff viewing, with 2-up, onion skin, and difference blend modes.

Settings and Synchronization

The plugin supports settings synchronization.

Installation and Enablement

Install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-git-review

After installation, restart or refresh the DSH process for changes to take effect.

Usage Scenarios and Limitations

Supported Environment

The DeepSeek Harness version must be between 0.1.2-rc.1 and 0.2.0-rc.1. git must be installed in the host PATH. If opened in a directory that is not a git repository, the plugin provides file browsing and supports one-click git init.

Security and Locking

Dangerous operations require explicit confirmation, and destructive operations require double confirmation. Operations are locked while an agent is running.

Performance Limitations

The plugin runs on the client and has the following limitations:
* A single file diff is limited to 20k lines.
* A single file diff is limited to 2MB.
* Commit graph page loads are limited to 500.
* Streaming byte transfer is limited to 8MB.
