Introduction¶
In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) environment, integrating agent capabilities with underlying network operations systems (Netx) is a common requirement. DSH adopts a plugin-based architecture, allowing plugins to extend native tools, manage sessions, and configure Agent presets. Netx Ops is an out-of-the-box plugin solution intended to address the integration between DSH and the Netx system, providing native REST tools, Agent presets, and visual interactive cards.
Core Features¶
Netx Ops mainly includes the following capabilities:
- Native REST tools: Provides REST endpoints prefixed with
netx__*, divided intoopsandtopologytool groups. - Agent presets: Includes built-in Agent presets with related skills.
- Plugin cards: Provides a visual management interface.
- Critical alert push: Supports pushing alerts to DSH sessions via a WebSocket client, or delivering them to IM channels (such as WhatsApp).
- Session export: Supports exporting all persistent sessions on the current host as a ZIP package.
- MCP support: The plugin includes Model Context Protocol support, although it is not required at DSH runtime.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installation must be executed directly from the command line, ensuring that dependencies are configured on the same line.
dsh plugin --profile web add `
github:hansjone/netxops `
github:hansjone/dsh-im-ops `
github:hansjone/dsh-ops-cron
dsh web
Note: IM (dsh-im-ops) and Cron (dsh-ops-cron) must be direct dependencies on the current plugin line.
After installation, the plugin automatically handles subsequent configuration.
Configuration and Usage¶
1. Plugin Settings¶
Open the Web interface and configure the Netx Ops connection information:
- Settings → Plugins → Netx Ops
- Fill in the API URL, Token, and Capability groups (tool groups).
2. Enable Alert Push (Optional)¶
To receive critical alerts from Netx:
- Enable Critical alert push in the plugin settings.
- DSH acts as a client and initiates the outbound connection.
- Select the delivery method: Deliver to DSH session or Deliver to WhatsApp / IM.
- Obtain the
botIdandtargetIdin the IM delivery settings.
3. Export Sessions (Optional)¶
In the Plugins card, click Export all sessions. The browser will download a ZIP file containing all sessions on the current host.
4. Select an Agent Preset¶
- Settings → Agent presets → Custom
- Find Netx Ops in the list. This preset is installed automatically the first time a host is activated.
- When creating a new session, select Netx Ops in the Agent selection interface.
Skill Maintenance and Notes¶
Editing Skills¶
If you need to modify skills, you cannot edit them directly in the plugin source. You must make changes in the skills/ tree of the netx repository located in a sibling directory to Netx Ops, then run the sync script:
powershell -File .\scripts\sync-skills-from-netx.ps1
System Requirements¶
- API connection: DSH must be able to access an available Netx HTTP API. The local
pip install netx_mcpapproach is not supported. - Dependency rules: During installation, IM- and Cron-related plugins must be specified on the same
addcommand line as the main plugin; otherwise, ablockExoticSubdepserror will be triggered.
Summary¶
Netx Ops provides DSH with a standard interface for interacting with the Netx system through native tools and Agent presets. With plugin cards, developers can conveniently manage alert pushing and session export. During use, pay attention to the installation order of dependencies and the mapping between skill files and their source repositories.
