Foreword

DSH (DeepSeek Harness) adopts the “everything is a plugin” design philosophy. Theme plugins are responsible for UI customization and restoration. dsh-theme-macintosh is a Classic Macintosh theme plugin that restores the interface to the pixel style of System 7.

Installation & Activation

Official installation (recommended):
Use the official command-line tool to install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:fengb3/dsh-theme-macintosh

After installation, run dsh web and refresh http://127.0.0.1:3080. The theme takes effect immediately.

Local installation:
If you need to install it in a local environment, install the package in the profile directory (~/.dsh/profiles/web/):

pnpm add dsh-theme-macintosh

Then add "dsh-theme-macintosh" to the dsh.profile.bundles array in package.json. After installing or modifying the manifest, restart the web host and refresh the page.

Typical Usage

  • Refresh to activate: After installing the plugin, simply refresh the browser page to see the theme change.
  • Kit inspection: In the browser developer tools console, run __MC_KIT_OPEN__ = true to open the Kit Inspector page.
  • Uninstall: If you need to remove the plugin, run the following command:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-theme-macintosh

Notes

  1. Zero build: This plugin uses a zero-build format and remains active after installation.
  2. Local configuration: For local installation, you must add this package to the dsh.profile.bundles array in package.json; otherwise it cannot be loaded.
