DeepSeek Harness (DSH) follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy, but the built-in plugin list only displays installed content. This plugin adds a “Community plugins” tab to the DSH Settings -> Plugins page, enabling discovery, search, browsing, filtering, and installation of community plugins from the GitHub dsh-plugin topic using a local SQLite catalog.
Installation¶
Run the following command in a terminal to install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile <profile> add github:dujar/dsh-community-plugins
Core Features¶
Browsing and Discovery
* View switching: Supports both List (rich cards) and Grid (compact cards) views, with preferences persisted in the browser.
* Local cache: Plugin metadata is cached in a local SQLite database; browsing, searching, and sorting are all based on local files, providing instant responses and offline support.
* Category tags: Topic tags are grouped by category (DSH, AI, Language, Web, Data, Tools, Trading, Security, etc.) and support click-to-filter.
* Status filtering: Supports viewing “All”, “Installed”, or “Local only” plugins.
Search and Sorting
* Multifaceted search: Supports searching by name, owner, description, or topic.
* Sorting options: Supports sorting by stars, forks, recently created, recently updated, or name.
Fork Browser
* View the list of forks and their metadata.
* Compare code with the upstream repository.
* Install a specific fork version directly.
Installation Flow
* One-click install: Clicking the install button executes the installation command.
* Manifest check: Before installation, it checks whether the package contains a dsh.bundle declaration to ensure the package is valid.
* Command copy: Provides one-click copying of the installation command.
Local Plugin Support
* Path validation: Add local plugins by pasting a path or using the folder picker.
* Upload-free design: The folder picker reads disk paths server-side, without requiring file uploads.
* Dry run: Supports a Dry run before installation to validate package metadata.
Plugin Management
* Status indicator: Installed plugins display a green “Installed” badge.
* Enable/disable: Supports enabling or disabling installed plugins (requires restarting dsh web).
* Uninstall: Supports one-click uninstall.
* Internationalization and theme: Supports switching between Chinese and English, and automatically adapts the theme based on DSH design tokens.
Typical Usage¶
- Open the DSH Web interface and go to Settings -> Plugins.
- Click the Community plugins tab.
- Use the search box or category tags to filter for plugins of interest, then click Install.
- Click the fork count on a card to view the Fork list, click Compare with upstream to view differences, or click Install to install the Fork version.
- Click Add local plugin, select a local directory or paste a path, then click Validate and Dry run, and install after confirmation.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Environment requirements: Node.js >= 22.19 is required.
- Restart mechanism: After enabling or disabling a plugin, you must restart
dsh webfor the changes to take effect. - Local plugin specification: When adding a local plugin, its
package.jsonmust declare adsh.bundlemanifest; otherwise, it will not pass validation. - Permissions and security: Plugins run with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before installing community plugins from unknown sources, review the source code and license.
Summary¶
This plugin provides DSH users with a centralized entry point for discovering and managing community plugins. Combined with local caching and local plugin support, it lowers the barrier to plugin maintenance and integration.
