Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. Extending functionality typically requires manually registering skills and MCP services. dsh-agent-plugin-bridge is a generic adapter designed to automatically connect plugins compliant with the Agent Plugin 1.0 specification to the DSH ecosystem, reducing manual configuration work.

Core Features

This plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:

  1. Automatic scanning and registration: Automatically scans and registers plugins compliant with the Agent Plugin 1.0 specification.
  2. Resource injection: Injects skills/ and mcp.json from plugin directories into the DSH host.
  3. Environment variable handling: Parses and handles environment variable placeholders in mcp.json.
  4. Self-check tool: Provides the bridge_summary tool for the Agent to self-check the status of loaded plugins.
  5. Version compatibility check: Checks @deepseek-ai/dsh-tools version compatibility at runtime.

Installation and Enabling

The installation command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile web add ./dsh-agent-plugin-bridge-0.1.0.tgz

Typical Usage

Agent Interaction

Ask the Agent in the conversation:

“Use the bridge_summary tool to tell me what was loaded.”

Configuration Example

Set paths and loading options in the configuration file:

pluginRoots: []
pluginsDirs:
  - '~/.cursor/plugins/local'
mcpJsonPaths:
  - '~/.cursor/mcp.json'
loadPluginMcp: false

Local Testing

Load the plugin locally for testing:

node scripts/local-skill.mjs D:/AgentRepo/GitRepo/GitRepo/tm-dagu-adapt

Notes

  • Environment requirements: Requires a Node 24 and pnpm 11 environment.
  • MCP loading switch: loadPluginMcp defaults to false; typically set loadPluginMcp: true to load the mcp.json bundled with the plugin.
  • Path support: Supports ~ for the user home directory (expanded via homedir()).
  • Dependency version: Requires @deepseek-ai/dsh-tools to satisfy the ^0.1.0-rc.6 version requirement.
  • License: MIT License.
