Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a plugin-driven tool for model inference. DIV7NE maintains the div7ne/dsh-plugins repository, which provides a set of Web plugins intended to enhance the interactivity of the chat interface, reduce repetitive input, and allow code to be executed directly within the interface.
Plugin Overview¶
The repository contains three independent plugins, all licensed under the MIT License:
* dsh-suggest-next-prompt: Displays model-generated next prompts in the placeholder of the chat input box.
* dsh-chrome-agent: Drives the user’s real, logged-in Chrome browser through a fixed companion extension, rather than a separate browser profile.
* dsh-run-in-terminal: Adds a run button on the right side of code blocks in the chat and integrates a terminal in the sidebar to execute code.
Installation and Enablement¶
Each plugin is a self-contained directory. Before installing, confirm that your Node.js version meets the requirements.
- Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/DIV7NE/dshpluginsdev
- Enter the specific plugin directory:
cd dshpluginsdev/<plugin>
- Install dependencies and install to the Profile:
npm install
npm run install:profile
- Restart the DSH server:
The bundle stack for plugins and the browser’s client-module graph are assembled at startup. Therefore, a new plugin cannot take effect on a running server; you must restart the service for the corresponding Profile and then refresh the page.
Typical Usage¶
dsh-suggest-next-prompt¶
After the model generates the next prompt, it is displayed in the placeholder of the chat input box.
* Press Tab to paste the prompt.
* Use the ↑ / ↓ keys to switch between items in the short list.
* Press Esc to cancel.
dsh-run-in-terminal¶
A Run button appears on code blocks in chat replies (next to the Copy button).
* Clicking the button opens an integrated terminal in the right sidebar, automatically pastes the code snippet, and presses Enter to execute it.
* Right-click inside the terminal to select Attach selection as context (attach the selected output to the conversation draft as a fenced block), making it easy to feed terminal output back to the model.
Notes¶
- Precheck Mechanism: The precheck in DSH Store is a static read of a fixed commit point; it is not a security audit and is not runtime validation.
- Scanning Limitation: The browser bundle for the
dsh-run-in-terminalplugin exceeds the scanner’s 256 KiB file limit because it inlines the xterm library. This is a known limitation and does not affect functionality. - Permissions and Source: Plugins run with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to inspect the source code and license before installing.
