DeepSeek Harness plugins are typically used to extend functionality. In the Web interface, fonts are a key factor affecting the reading experience. The dsh-font plugin adds configuration items that allow users to directly modify the font family, weight, and size for the interface and code in Settings.
What Is This¶
This is a DeepSeek Harness plugin maintained by citisen (MIT licensed). As a third-party Bundle, it adds a “Fonts” row in Settings → General and uses the settingsScope service and ctx.theme.overrideTokens to override the default CSS variables.
Core Features¶
- Interface fonts and sizes: Customize the font stack for non-code UI text (with weight support), and provides text scaling from 75% to 150%.
- Code fonts and sizes: Independently control the font stack for code blocks and inline code, with size adjustment from 10px to 20px.
- Font query editor: A built-in editor with syntax highlighting and completion for directly editing font query language.
Typical Usage¶
- Find the Fonts row in Settings → General.
- Enter a font family in the font query editor (e.g.,
Inter, system-ui, sans-serif) or adjust the size in the numeric input (e.g.,125%,16px). - Check the plugin status using the command:
dsh --profile web --dump-config. - To uninstall, run:
dsh plugin --profile web remove @citisen/dsh-font.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Version requirements: You must use dsh 0.1.5-rc.1 or later (0.1.5-rc.x and 0.1.7-alpha.1 are supported).
- Permissions and sources: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Review the source code and license before installation.
- Feature changes: Version 0.3.1 removed control over conversation text size; that feature has returned to the built-in Appearance settings in dsh; version 0.2.4 stopped borrowing icons from the design system.
- Startup issues: If the plugin fails to start and shows
pending (waiting for service: settingsScope), try disabling the row (setdisabled: trueincordis.patch.yml), applying a one-time bootstrap override, or removing the plugin. - Settings recovery: If dsh 0.1.7 renamed settings and caused the old configuration to be lost, you can restore it by importing
settings.yaml.imported.
dsh-font provides fine-grained control over Web interface fonts. For more details, refer to the plugin directory or the GitHub repository.
