The Web interface of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is designed with a general-purpose approach and may have interaction redundancy on mobile devices or PWA scenarios. The dsh-mobile-ui plugin provides a mobile-first interface redesign, modifying the existing Web UI to deliver an experience closer to a native app.

Plugin Overview

  • Name: dsh-mobile-ui
  • Owner: Canary-Builds
  • Category: Client
  • License: MIT

The plugin injects CSS styles and a PWA Manifest through the Cordis architecture, changing the layout and interaction logic of the Web interface without modifying core code.

Core Features

The sidebar uses an app-style design:
- Collapsible Icon Bar: When collapsed, it hides the 56px icon bar, allowing the chat area to occupy full screen width.
- Floating Whale Launcher: Displays a theme-following whale icon in the center of the first sidebar column header. Clicking it expands the sidebar as a full-screen overlay covering the chat area, instead of pushing content aside.
- Auto Collapse: When opening a session from the session list, the sidebar automatically collapses.

Top Bar and Controls

  • Full-Width Top Bar: The top bar spans the full width.
  • Mode Chips: Displays the current agent preset mode (STD, PTC, MIN, CTR, etc.) and supports Chinese and English.
  • Log Export: Provides a session log export button on the right side.

Settings Interface

  • Full-Screen Settings Table: The settings panel fills the full screen without margins or rounded corners.
  • Icon Navigation: The navigation bar collapses to icon-only mode while retaining accessibility labels.

PWA Support

  • The plugin provides a standalone PWA Manifest with display: standalone, allowing the interface to be installed and run like a native application window.

Installation and Enablement

Ensure the environment meets the following requirements:
- Node.js 22.19+
- DeepSeek Harness (DSH)

Install the plugin to the Web profile:

dsh plugin --profile web add @canary-builds/dsh-mobile-ui

After installation, restart DSH and refresh the browser for it to take effect.

Typical Usage

Migration from Splash Plugin

If dsh-plugin-splash was previously installed, remove it before installing:

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-plugin-splash
dsh plugin --profile web add @canary-builds/dsh-mobile-ui

If the transitional package @canary-builds/dsh-wpa has been installed, remove it first:

dsh plugin --profile web remove @canary-builds/dsh-wpa

Code Testing

The plugin includes test scripts that can be run locally:

npm test
npm run test:package

Notes and Compatibility

  • Desktop Browsers: The UI in desktop browser tabs remains as the stock UI; styles and interactions are only effective on touch devices.
  • Version Dependency: CSS class hashes are build-specific; the plugin is written for DSH 0.1.1-rc.x. If a DSH upgrade changes class name hashes, features may stop working (without errors, they simply won’t apply).
  • Conflict Avoidance: Do not load it together with dsh-plugin-splash or @canary-builds/dsh-wpa, as they share the same UI behavior and routing.
  • Reset Method: Disabling this plugin line fully restores all styles, slots, and routing.

Ecosystem Context

DeepSeek Harness follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. The community directory skillhub.cn provides a plugin index and has no affiliation with DeepSeek or Huanfang official.
