Introduction¶
DSH users often need to switch back and forth between DSH and multiple external AI web pages, copying and pasting content. dsh-plugin-webrelay solves this by embedding external AI web pages in DSH’s right-side panel, and provides a “Lightning button” to perform prompt optimization and collaborative optimization with external AI.
What Is This¶
This is a DSH plugin that uses the plugin’s built-in relay reverse proxy to embed external AI chat web pages under the same origin. It allows users to complete the workflow of “write prompt -> ask external AI for review -> finalize” with one button. Maintained by Baisbt.
Core Features¶
- Built-in right-side browser: Embeds external AI chat web pages under the same origin via the plugin’s built-in relay reverse proxy, with a site identification badge, capture archives, and an “Open in system browser” fallback channel.
- Lightning button: Provides prompt optimization (without sending) and collaborative optimization with external AI (compress context -> initial optimization -> send out -> wait -> retrieve reply -> final optimization -> write to input box), all steps editable.
- Capture archives + agent tool: External replies can be saved as Markdown files (
$DSH_HOME/webrelay/captures/*.md), and registers thewebrelay_capturesagent tool. - Site management interface: Supports adding / sorting / hiding / deleting / restoring defaults, as well as multiple browser instances and account binding.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install the plugin using the following command:
dsh plugin --profile web add @dsh-external/dsh-webrelay
Typical Usage¶
- Install the plugin using the command
dsh plugin --profile web add @dsh-external/dsh-webrelay. - Click the
⚡button in DSH’s right-side panel to optimize the prompt (calls only the host LLM; does not send). - Click the
⚡button to perform collaborative optimization with external AI (requires connecting to the external browser first): compress context -> send -> wait -> retrieve reply -> write to input box. - Use “Capture History” in the panel to view saved Markdown files.
- Use the “Manage” button in the panel header to add, sort, or delete sites.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Dependencies: Requires Node.js 20+, pnpm (called internally by
dsh plugin add/remove), and Chrome or Edge (linked mode). - Current status: The plugin has not yet been published to npm; install it using a tarball or GitHub.
- Runtime dependencies: Zero hard runtime dependencies on
@deepseek-ai/*. - Security mechanisms: Read-only by default; writes require a click (only the “send to browser” step).
- DSH version: DSH is in developer preview; client snapshot/contract fields may change.
Conclusion¶
This plugin gives DSH the ability to connect to external AI web pages. DSH’s philosophy is “everything is a plugin”; the community directory has no official affiliation with DeepSeek or Huanfang.
