Introduction¶
When using DeepSeek Harness (DSH) for development or debugging, users often need to submit feature ideas, bug reports, or improvement suggestions. Organizing scattered conversation logs into clear, community-compliant GitHub Discussions content often requires manual copy-pasting and formatting adjustments. The DSH Feedback Bridge plugin is designed to solve this problem. It allows users to organize feedback drafts directly in the DSH Web interface, refine the content with model assistance, and finally submit them to official Discussions or export them as Markdown.
Plugin Overview¶
DSH Feedback Bridge is a DeepSeek Harness plugin maintained by user yx222yx. Its core value is converting messy conversational content into structured community feedback drafts. The plugin supports organizing feedback content for GitHub Discussions, providing model-assisted suggestions, similarity checking, and local draft saving; all operations are completed within the DSH Web environment.
Core Features¶
-
Entry and Interface: Access “Community Feedback” from the DSH Web left sidebar. The main interface displays feedback text editing and preview.
-
Feedback Source Organization: Click “Feedback Source” to open a dedicated page. Feedback content is grouped by “a complete exchange” (from the start of the user’s question to the end of the model’s full output, including tool results and errors). It supports filtering, confirming, removing, and quoting.
-
Model Assistance: Click “Model-Assisted Suggestions” to use the model selected in the current conversation to generate feedback type recommendations, missing information prompts, or field-by-field suggestions.
-
Editing and Expansion: Each field text box is small. Click the expand button to open a larger editing page for detailed modifications.
-
Similarity Checking: Click the “Similarity Check” button in the bottom action row. It reads official Discussions, plugin information, and permitted official documentation to check content overlap.
-
Export and Submission: Supports copying or exporting Markdown drafts. Supports submission by logging in to GitHub or using GitHub CLI. Before each submission, the final content and GitHub account are displayed and require user confirmation.
-
Draft Management: Automatically saves unfinished drafts, which can be restored after refreshing the page or restarting DSH. Locally, only successfully submitted links and basic information are saved.
Installation and Activation¶
This plugin currently supports only the DSH Web environment (v0.1).

Configuration and Privacy¶
The plugin supports two GitHub authorization methods: Device Flow login and GitHub CLI login. When authorization expires, the plugin will attempt automatic renewal.
If you only need to export drafts without submitting, you can set the following in your DSH profile configuration:
github:
auth:
provider: none
Privacy Notes:
- GitHub access tokens and refresh tokens are used only on the DSH Host side; they are not sent to browser clients or models.
- DSH local credential storage is not equivalent to operating-system-level secure storage.
- Similarity checking reads official Discussions, plugin information, and permitted official documentation.
- The plugin does not submit automatically; every write to GitHub requires individual user confirmation.
- Locally, only submission links and basic information are saved; replies or status are not tracked.
Use Cases and Limitations¶
This plugin is suitable for developers who need to quickly organize feedback in the DSH Web environment, use AI assistance for writing, and ensure privacy.
Current Limitations:
- The v0.1 version only supports DSH Web.
- Only one unfinished draft is saved at a time.
- Submissions are made only to the official DeepSeek Harness Discussions; submissions to third-party plugin repositories are not supported.
- Creating GitHub Issues is not supported.
