Introduction

DeepSeek Harness is a system with a plugin-centric architecture. As the number of plugins increases, manually managing installation packages, checking versions, translating interfaces, or discovering available resources becomes cumbersome. dsh-plugin-manager provides a visual management entry point, transforms CLI operations into card-based interactions, and integrates AI capabilities to assist with translation and summarization.

What Is It

This is a visual plugin manager for DeepSeek Harness, maintained by yunniees. It addresses plugin manifest management, version checking, interface translation, plugin discovery, and batch updates.

Core Capabilities

This plugin includes the following features:

  • Card-based manifest management: Displays installed plugins and presets as cards, with support for enabling/disabling and version checking.
  • AI automatic translation: Supports multi-language switching, with translation results persisted through local caching.
  • AI one-click summarization: Generates summary information for installed plugins, using an incremental update mechanism to save tokens.
  • AI plugin search: Supports describing requirements in natural language, using AI to generate queries and scan GitHub resources.
  • One-click sharing and installation: Supports packaging multiple plugins or presets into dshpm:// links for easy sharing and batch installation.
  • One-click updating: Supports batch updates for plugins and presets from npm and GitHub sources.

Installation and Enablement

Run the following command in a terminal to install:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:yunniees/DSH-Plugin-Manager

After installation, you need to restart the Harness Web UI for the changes to take effect. After restarting, you can find the Plugin Manager entry at the bottom of the sidebar.

Typical Usage

  1. Open the Panel: Open Plugin Manager from the sidebar.
  2. Configure the Model: Select an AI model at the top of the panel. All AI features reuse the providers already configured in DSH; the plugin itself does not hold API keys.
  3. Manage Overview: View plugin categories and summaries on the Overview page. Click the More menu on a card to select a version, delete the item, or generate a share link.
  4. Browse Market: Browse plugins or use the AI search feature on the Market page. Infinite scroll loading is supported.
  5. Operate Presets: Switch presets in the Presets section, or check and update preset versions.
  6. Share and Install: Generate a dshpm:// link through the More menu and send it to others. The recipient can paste the link into the Share panel to install all items at once.

Notes

  • Privacy and Security: No hard-coded keys; the HTTP API is bound to local loopback only; no logs are sent; state files store UI data only.
  • Input Validation: Inputs such as plugin names, preset names, and version tags are validated using regex whitelists to prevent injection and path traversal attacks.
  • Dependencies: The plugin depends on the DeepSeek Harness configuration and does not hold API keys.

Conclusion

Through visual card-based management and AI-assisted features, this plugin lowers the barrier to using DeepSeek Harness, making it suitable for users who frequently manage plugins or work on multi-language/multi-plugin development.
