Introduction

When building applications with DSH, managing the plugin ecosystem often requires switching between websites, manually copying repository URLs, and filling in installation details in the client interface. dsh-plugin-top is a sidebar plugin designed to solve this pain point. It integrates plugin catalog viewing, leaderboard search, and one-click installation into the browser sidebar. It is maintained by yhbd-top.

Features

The plugin provides a complete entry point for browsing and installing plugins in the browser sidebar:

  1. Sidebar Entry
    After installation, the plugin_top button appears at the bottom of the browser sidebar. In the wide sidebar, it displays the full name; in the narrow sidebar, it displays the icon only.

  2. Large Panel and Leaderboards
    Click the button to open the large panel (maximum 880×700). The panel includes the top-level “All” tab (the full set of 3,900+ plugins) and five leaderboards: Native Star Leaderboard, Rising, Today’s Newcomers, Compatible Tools, and Category Champions.

  3. Linked Filtering and Search
    The category bar updates in sync with the selected leaderboard. When switching to a different leaderboard, categories count only the plugin distribution within that leaderboard. Clicking a category filters within the current leaderboard. Local instant search is also supported, allowing filters to be combined by keyword, repository name, or category.

  4. One-Click Install
    On the right side of each row in the panel, there is an “Install ->” button. Clicking it performs the following steps in sequence: copy the GitHub repository URL to the clipboard, open the client’s built-in “Plugins” page, automatically fill the “Add Plugin” input field, and trigger the installation flow.

  5. Agent Tools
    In a conversation, Agent tools can be called directly to search for plugins and view trends.

Installation and Activation

Install it via the official command line:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:yhbd-top/dsh-plugin-top

After installation, you must restart the DSH process and hard-refresh the page before the plugin_top button appears in the sidebar.

Agent Tool Invocation

The plugin provides two tool interfaces for Agent:

  • plugin_top_search: Search plugins by keyword, category, or star count; returns descriptions, installation commands, and detail page links.
  • plugin_top_trending: Retrieve lists of newly added plugins today, recently rising plugins, or the native total star leaderboard.

Notes

  1. Environment Requirements: Node.js version must be >= 18.17.0.
  2. Restart and Refresh: After installation, be sure to restart DSH and perform a hard refresh.
  3. Data Source and Privacy: The plugin uses a built-in reverse proxy to fetch data, so users do not need to configure CORS. Browser-side data is cached in sessionStorage for 6 hours; there is no upload or telemetry behavior.
  4. Configuration Overrides: On the Agent side, baseUrl, cacheTtlHours, and timeoutMs can be overridden through cordis.patch.yml.
