Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a plugin-centric Agent management tool. When configuring permissions, every time a new workspace or conversation is created, the system requires manual confirmation for danger-full-access (dangerous permission). These frequent confirmations interrupt the workflow. The dsh-full-access-switch plugin aims to solve this issue by modifying the default configuration and frontend logic, providing a one-time “do not ask again” switch.

Plugin Overview

  • Name: xtd1145/dsh-full-access-switch
  • Description: DSH one-time Full access switch: no per-session confirmation for new workspaces/conversations
  • Maintainer: xtd1145
  • Category: admin-security
  • License: MIT

Core Features

This plugin mainly includes the following three changes:

  1. Default permission for new sessions: Writes permission.defaultPreset: danger-full-access to settings.yaml. When DSH creates a new session, this preset is applied automatically, with no confirmation required throughout the process.
  2. GUI risk confirmation gate: Adds a persistent checkbox in the settings interface (dsh.permission.skipFullAccessConfirmation) to control whether to skip the confirmation dialog.
  3. Confirmation bypass logic: After enabling the checkbox, the confirmation dialogs in the following three locations will be skipped:
    • The permission toggle row on the settings page
    • The permission selector below the Composer input
    • The /permission command dialog

Installation and Activation

There are two installation methods. The Bundle method is recommended to reduce changes to existing files.

This method installs the plugin as a DSH plugin without modifying local files.

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/xtd1145/dsh-full-access-switch

After installation is complete, refresh the browser page (F5) or restart DSH to apply the changes.

Method 2: PowerShell Script Installation

This method directly modifies local files through the install.ps1 script.

powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\install.ps1

The script automatically locates the DSH installation directory, backs up the target files (.bak-<timestamp>), and applies the patch. The script checks the target file versions (compatible with 0.1.1-rc.2 of @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-permission-presets / @deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-conversation). If the version does not match, it reports an error and does not modify the files.

Typical Usage

  1. Run the installation command above.
  2. Open DSH’s Settings > Permissions.
  3. Check “Do Not Ask for Full Access Confirmation Again (Remember My Choice)”.
  4. Create a new workspace or conversation. The permission is directly set to danger-full-access, and no confirmation dialog will appear.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Use Case: Developers or testers who need to quickly use Full Access permissions across a large number of new sessions.
  • Version Requirement: Only compatible with DSH v0.1.1-rc.2.
  • Unofficial Maintenance: This project is a community patch and is not officially maintained by DeepSeek. After upgrading the official DSH, the plugin may stop working, and the installation script may need to be rerun.
  • File Modification: The installation process modifies local files (settings.yaml and bundle files), but backups are preserved.
