DSH allows its Web interface to be extended through plugins. If developers want the workspace to have a specific terminal aesthetic, they can achieve this with a theme plugin. dsh-theme-hacker-terminal is one such customization.

This is a hacker terminal-style theme for the DSH Web interface. It is maintained by XiaoluoFoxington and aims to transform the interface into a terminal style with a pure black background and high-contrast green accents.

Core Features

  • Visual style: Uses a pure black background and high-contrast green (#00ff41) accents, with no rounded corners site-wide and monospaced terminal fonts.
  • Layout and compatibility: The chat area and input area are full width, and tooltip text is forced to bright green to suit dark backgrounds.
  • Scrollbars: Uses unified 8px green-on-black scrollbars across Gecko, Blink, and WebKit engines.
  • Component placement: The todo list, goal bar, and queue are located above the input box, following the natural document flow.
  • OLED optimization: Removes scanline effects, making it suitable for OLED screens.

Installation and Enabling

  1. Run the installation command:
    dsh plugin add https://github.com/XiaoluoFoxington/dsh-theme-hacker-terminal
  1. After installation, restart dsh web (or refresh the already opened page) to apply the theme.

Typical Usage

After installation, the interface automatically applies the hacker terminal style described above. To uninstall, run:

dsh plugin remove dsh-theme-hacker-terminal

Alternatively, manually edit cordis.patch.yml to remove the ui-hacker-theme insertion, then restart.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

This plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. Check the source code and license before installing.

  • License: MIT.
  • Maintenance: The plugin exists as a Cordis plugin and consists of two parts: host (no-op) and browser (injects CSS).

With this configuration, the DSH Web interface can present a hacker terminal style. For more details, see:
