For developers who need dark mode or a specific visual style (such as hacker/cyber style), modifying the source code directly is costly. The dsh-v-theme plugin provides a plugin-layer solution, overriding the Web client styles in a purely incremental way without disrupting the normal functionality of official plugins.

Installation and Activation

Prerequisite: The host DeepSeek Harness version must be >= 0.1.2-rc.1 (for earlier versions, use plugin 0.5.0).

  1. Run the installation command:

Usage

  1. Open settings:
    In the DSH client, go to Settings -> Skin -> V CYBER.

  2. Main toggle control:

    • Connect: When enabled, it locks the dark appearance and overlays the theme; the state is persisted.
    • Disconnect: Restores the default appearance.

  3. Style switching:
    While enabled, click one of the seven chips to hot-replace the style.

  4. Automatic disconnection:
    If you switch to light mode in the Appearance settings, this theme will automatically disconnect.

Technical Notes

  • Web platform only: This plugin currently only supports the Web client.
  • Purely incremental design: The plugin works by injecting a private stylesheet scoped to body.v-cyber, so it does not affect the official UI theme.
  • Design validation: The palette and effects layer are designed based on local reference specs, including multi-palette parameterized generation and contract validation.
