The design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When developing or debugging with the DeepSeek API, real-time visibility into account balance and current session Token consumption helps with cost control. balance-dsh is a DSH plugin that directly displays the DeepSeek account balance and current session Token/amount consumption in the Web UI.

Basic Information

Core Features

  1. Sidebar balance row: Displayed at the bottom when the sidebar is expanded. It includes a wallet icon, balance amount, and period label (peak red / off-peak green). The amount color changes based on balance status: sufficient is green, low (<10) is amber yellow, and zero displays a red “Top up”.
  2. Collapsed view: When the sidebar is collapsed, the balance is displayed as a floating capsule (FAB) in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Auto refresh: Refreshes automatically every 60 seconds; refreshes immediately after a conversation completes; right-click the balance area to refresh manually.
  4. Statistics popup: Single-clicking the balance opens a statistics popup showing account balance, billed Tokens over the last 90 days, estimated cost, active days, a heatmap (aggregated by day), and data broken down by model and peak/off-peak periods.
  5. Peak/off-peak billing logic: Weekdays 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00 are peak periods (prices doubled); weekends and Chinese statutory holidays are fully billed as off-peak periods (weekend makeup workdays are treated as weekdays for peak/off-peak billing).
  6. Session consumption row: Displays real-time current session consumption below the chat box (new Tokens + estimated amount); hover to view the detailed billing basis.
  7. Official usage entry: Double-clicking the balance or using “View official usage” in the statistics panel opens the DeepSeek official usage page in the DSH embedded browser.
  8. Command query: Enter /balance in the chat box to query balance details and current session consumption.

Installation and Enablement

  1. Ensure DSH Desktop is installed.
  2. Run the installation command:

  1. Restart DSH Desktop. Server-side UI changes take effect after a restart.
  2. Plugin pricing takes effect from 2026-09-10.

Typical Usage

  • View official usage: Double-click the balance row in the sidebar to open the DeepSeek official usage page in the embedded browser.
  • Manual refresh: Right-click the balance area to update balance data immediately.
  • Command query: Enter /balance to view balance details and current session consumption.

Notes

  • Balance source: The plugin prioritizes reading the DSH official account balance (just log in to the official version) and falls back to an API Key when not logged in.
  • Data privacy: The plugin does not collect or upload any conversation content; consumption statistics are entirely based on local session events.
  • Price effective time: The price baseline for consumption statistics takes effect from 2026-09-10.
