DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a plugin-based framework for developing and running agents. Developers usually need to chat with agents on WeChat, monitor runtime status, or perform manual approval. The dsh-wechat-suite plugin uses Tencent’s iLink protocol to connect a DSH Profile to a personal WeChat account, enabling bidirectional communication without a public IP or port forwarding.
What It Is¶
This is a plugin package that connects a DSH Profile to a personal WeChat account. It uses Tencent’s ilinkai.weixin.qq.com gateway for communication. The plugin contains two core components:
* wechat-gateway: Handles iLink services, including QR code login, authenticated long polling, reconnection/backoff, send retries, rate limiting and circuit breaking, input indicator, encrypted CDN media transfer, and inbound message deduplication.
* wechat-conversation-node: The bridge layer between WeChat and DSH, responsible for session routing, command execution, context rotation, and multimodal media processing.
Core Features¶
- Message and media support: Supports bidirectional transfer of text, images, voice, files, and video. Integrates OCR (optical character recognition), STT (speech-to-text), TTS (text-to-speech), image generation, and video processing capabilities.
- Connection and reliability: Provides QR code login and authenticated long polling. Includes automatic reconnection/backoff, send retries, rate limiting and circuit breaking, and input indicator. Media download/upload is performed over encrypted CDN, with support for inbound message deduplication.
- Session and control: Supports session routing, command execution, and context rotation. Provides features such as agent approval, reminders, morning weather, summary export, and light control.
- Multi-platform and operations: Supports both WeChat and QQ under unified management. Provides a standalone admin console, where frontend edits take effect immediately. Saving YAML configurations does not break the Profile.
Installation and Activation¶
- Environment setup: Ensure Node.js >= 22 and pnpm are installed, and that you have a DSH Profile and a dedicated WeChat account.
- Install the plugin:
dsh plugin --profile <your-profile> add github:PRTS168/dsh-wechat-suite
- Account binding:
pnpm login
Scan the generated QR code to log in to your WeChat account. The system will store credentials such as `WEIXIN_BOT_TOKEN` and `WEIXIN_ACCOUNT_ID`.
- Configuration:
pnpm setup
Fill in the `allowFrom` allow-list entries and other required credentials.
Typical Usage¶
After installation and configuration, restart dsh web, then send a message on WeChat to interact with the agent. If you need the admin console, run:
node admin/server.ts
The console will be available at http://127.0.0.1:8790/ (the token will be generated in admin/.admin-token).
Notes¶
- Single-instance limit: The iLink protocol allows only one authenticated poller per account. Running a second instance on the same WeChat account will cause HTTP 403 and lose messages.
- Account risk: It is recommended to use a dedicated WeChat account and treat it as disposable. Tencent may restrict the account at any time.
- Required configuration: You must configure the
allowFromallow-list entries, as well as theWEIXIN_BOT_TOKEN,WEIXIN_ACCOUNT_ID, andWEIXIN_BASE_URLcredentials. Without these configurations, the plugin remains idle. - Preset files: The plugin does not include Persona presets. Point
agentPresetto a preset in your directory (for example,$DSH_HOME/.agent-presets/<name>/).
Conclusion¶
By encapsulating the iLink protocol, this plugin provides DSH with a complete interaction capability on WeChat. For developers who need to deploy and manage agents on mobile devices or within the WeChat ecosystem, this is a viable solution. For more details, see the GitHub repository.
