Core Features

  • Read content: Limits maximum bytes read and supports retrieving READMEs, individual files, and listing file paths (Blob only).
  • Clone repositories: Shallow-clones a repository into the workspace.
  • Built-in commands: Provides the /research [low|medium|high] <idea> and /gh-login commands.

Typical Usage

Before use, GitHub authentication must be completed. Run the following commands:

  • /gh-login: Reports authentication status and displays login steps.
  • /research medium <idea>: Researches an idea at medium depth and generates a plan. The default level is medium.

Dependencies and Limitations

The plugin relies on gh (for authentication/tokens) and git (for cloning) in the system environment.

  • Rate limits: The GitHub search API has an authenticated rate limit (approximately 30 requests/minute).
  • Permissions: Besides cloning, the plugin is read-only. It does not modify model requests or the session surface.
  • Operational limitations: Attempting to clone into the same folder will fail; it must be removed first.
  • Configuration: There is currently no settings panel or depth-level selector UI; configuration is done through cordis.yml.
