Preface¶
The plugin mechanism in DeepSeek Harness (DSH) allows various data services to be integrated at runtime. For developers who need to monitor regional environmental safety or disaster alerts, accessing real-time earthquake, tsunami, and weather warning information is a common requirement. dsh-quake-alert is a network-connected utility plugin maintained by MurasakiIzumi. It integrates multiple third-party data sources to provide cross-regional disaster monitoring and notification capabilities within the DSH environment.
Core Features¶
The plugin supports real-time monitoring of multiple disaster types in Japan and worldwide. Data sources include services such as P2PQuake, JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency), EMSC, USGS, and NOAA.
- Multi-regional monitoring:
- Japan: Real-time earthquake (EEW), tsunami, and JMA weather alerts.
- Global: Earthquake data from EMSC/USGS and NOAA tsunami warnings.
- Mainland China: CENC earthquake early warnings and meteorological disasters (e.g., heavy rain and geological hazards).
- United States and Canada: NWS flood alerts and ECCC weather warnings.
- Configurable rules:
- Supports configuring monitored regions (country, province, city, and radius).
- Supports configuring alert thresholds for different disaster types.
- Notifications and interaction:
- Provides alarm sounds synthesized with Web Audio and supports system notifications.
- Supports viewing history, retaining 30 processed messages from the past 5 days.
- Supports multilingual interfaces (Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, English).
- Management and diagnostics:
- Supports exporting and importing configuration (JSON format).
- Supports switching data sources (production/sandbox mode).
- Provides local diagnostic testing tools that can test data parsing without initiating network requests.
Installation and Enabling¶
Install it using the official command-line tool:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-quake-alert
After installation, restart the dsh web process to make the plugin take effect.
Typical Usage¶
- Open settings: Go to the “Disaster Alerts” menu in DSH.
- Configure regions: Select the country or region to monitor. For example, in mainland China, configure the province, city, and radius sequentially; in Japan, select prefectures and optionally refine them to cities, towns, or villages.
- Set thresholds: In the disaster type and threshold list, enable each disaster type and set the intensity that triggers an alarm.
- Enable notifications: Turn on alarm sounds and system notifications, adjust the volume, and click the preview button to test the effect.
- Diagnostic test: On the “Testing and Diagnostics” page, check the status of each data source or use local testing tools to send simulated messages.
- Configuration migration: Export the current configuration to a JSON file, or import a configuration file to apply it to another environment.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
This plugin is suitable for scenarios that require continuous monitoring of disaster information for specific regions during DSH runtime. Before use, note the following:
- Data sources: The plugin obtains data from third-party services such as P2PQuake, JMA, and EMSC, and is not an official push channel.
- Warning disclaimer: The content and delivery quality of earthquake early warnings (EEW) are not guaranteed and are for reference only. For actual evacuation, always follow information released by local authorities.
- Runtime mechanism: The plugin only runs while the DSH page is open.
- Network limitations: In mainland China network environments, some data sources may be unreachable or have unstable connections.
Summary¶
dsh-quake-alert provides a complete real-time disaster monitoring solution, encapsulating data access, regional matching, and notification feedback. It is suitable as a safety monitoring component in the DSH environment.
