Introduction¶
The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” During use, developers may accumulate multiple scattered tool ideas or feature requirements. The dsh-tools plugin provides tabbed navigation on the Settings page, consolidating these capabilities into a unified toolbox for centralized management and immediate invocation.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-tools is a general-purpose personal toolbox plugin for DSH Web Profile. The author is LoKiGGo, and it is licensed under the MIT license. It is not a single powerful tool, but an integration platform that allows users to enable or disable multiple independent features through toggles.
Installation and Activation¶
The installation process is completed through the official DSH CLI and supports one-click activation.
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-tools
After running the command above, the plugin automatically installs dependencies and writes the activation layer. After installation, restart the dsh web service. Go to the “Settings” menu and click “dsh Toolbox” to open the management interface.
Core Features¶
This plugin consolidates multiple types of features, including system maintenance, session management, plugin ecosystem, and application monitoring.
1. Feature Toggles and System Tools¶
The top of the Settings page contains resident features, including:
* DeepSeek Harness version check: Checks the host version against the latest GitHub Release. It only checks and does not automatically upgrade.
* One-click dsh web restart: Restarts the service and automatically opens a new window while closing the old page, suitable for development and testing cycles.
* Task completion notification: When the web page is not focused and a conversation task completes, a system notification appears in the bottom-right corner of the desktop. Click it to jump back to the session.
Below is a list of optional feature toggles. Toggle states take effect immediately and are persisted.
2. Session Management¶
In the “Session Management” tab, you can perform the following operations:
* Archiving and deletion: Supports deleting a single session and bulk deleting sessions, and provides an archiving feature.
* Disk usage: View the disk space occupied by each session and each workspace.
* File operations: Click a session path to directly open the corresponding folder.
* Loading optimization: Returns the list quickly first, then fills in sizes and disk cache in the background to improve opening speed.
3. Plugin Ecosystem¶
- Plugin toggles: Enables or disables installed plugins; click a plugin name to visit its GitHub page for details.
- Update check: Checks and updates installed plugins. Supports npm registry and GitHub installation sources.
- Plugin category view: Adds a “Plugin Categories” tab under “Settings -> Plugins,” where you can filter and browse official, installed (Market/GitHub/npm), and local plugins.
4. Application Usage¶
In the “Application Usage” tab, you can view aggregated data by time range (this year/this month/last 7 days, etc.):
* Token usage
* Cache hit rate
* Session duration and step count
* Estimated cost (supports peak/off-peak price switching)
5. WeChat Integration¶
Through the “WeChat Integration” tab, you can use the Tencent openclaw-weixin / iLink protocol to connect a personal WeChat account to DSH Agent.
Basic configuration:
* Scan a QR code to bind a WeChat account.
* Whitelist mode: When empty, it operates in record-only mode; after configuration, messages are allowed.
* Session mode: Supports room (shared session) or per-user (independent session).
* Media transfer: Images, videos, and files are automatically downloaded to a specified directory, and the Agent sends them back to WeChat using syntax in its replies (e.g., [image:path]).
* AI capabilities: Supports configuring the Base URL, Key, and Model for ASR (speech-to-text), Vision (image understanding), and Image (text-to-image).
Note: Only one polling gateway can be used for the same WeChat account at a time.
Configuration File¶
The plugin configuration is stored in a local JSON file, typically at:
<DSH_HOME>/profiles/web/plugins-data/dsh-tools.json
It is automatically generated on the first modification. The system automatically backs up the original file before modification. The configuration structure includes features (feature toggle states) and featureConfig (extended configurations for each feature).
Notes¶
- Maintenance status: This plugin is generated entirely by AI, is not manually maintained, and may stop receiving updates later. Please use it with caution.
- Dependency updates: When updating host dependencies (such as peerDependencies), you must delete
package-lock.jsonandnode_modulesand then reinstall. Otherwise, installation may fail due to mismatched version ranges. - WeChat credentials: WeChat login credentials are stored in
~/.openclaw/openclaw-weixin/accounts/. Do not disclose them. - Permission requirements: At runtime, the plugin requires permission to read host session logs and access the local file system.
