In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) development workflow, quickly confirming a model’s context window, maximum output tokens, or authentication method is a common need. This plugin reads the ~/.dsh/settings.yaml configuration and provides a hover-over detail view in the model selector, eliminating the need to switch configuration files frequently.

Basic Information
* Plugin Name: dsh-model-info-hint
* Maintainer: jackie2455
* License: MIT
* Category: Model Inference
* Star Count: 1

Core Features
1. Hover to Show Configuration Details: Hovering over a model in the model selector displays detailed configuration for that model, including input type, context window, maximum output tokens, inference level, protocol, baseURL, and authentication environment variable name.
2. Configuration Source: Reads configuration directly from ~/.dsh/settings.yaml (supports .yaml and .json formats).
3. Hot Reload and Override: Supports overriding the default path with $DSH_HOME and supports hot reloading.
4. Non-Blocking Interaction: The tooltip uses pointer-events: none, so it does not block mouse hovering or clicking.

Installation and Activation
1. Add the plugin directory as a local package to the web profile (or any other profile you are actually using).
2. Run the installation command:

dsh plugin --profile web add file:/absolute/path/to/dsh-model-info-hint
  1. Restart DSH to activate the plugin.

Usage Steps
1. Open the model selector (click the model button in the input box, or use the /model command).
2. Hover over a model to see the configuration hint.

How It Works
The plugin consists of a Host side and a browser side:
* Host Side (lib/index.js): Injects the settings and webServer services, registers the same-origin JSON endpoint GET /model-info-hint/api/models, and returns the complete configuration for all models in the settings document in one request, using (provider display name, model display name) as the lookup key.
* Browser Side (lib/client.js): Listens for global mouseover events. When hovering over a model item in the model selector, it looks up the configuration by the visible text of that model item in the mapping and renders a non-blocking detailed tooltip near the cursor.

Notes
* Display Scope: Only models explicitly declared in the settings document are displayed.
* Built-in Adapters: Hints are not shown for built-in adapters (such as deepseek-official).
* Environment Variable Name: apiKeyEnv shows the environment variable name, not the key itself.
* Dismissing Behavior: The hint disappears when the mouse moves away, on click, on scroll, or when any key is pressed, or it automatically disappears after 6 seconds.
* UI Language: The user interface text is in Chinese.
