The philosophy of DSH is “everything is a plugin.” At the Web UI level, users often need to customize the appearance to fit specific workflows. frank-fan-818/dsh-f1-skin is an F1 Race Control Center theme designed for DSH Web UI, aiming to provide a customized appearance for the DeepSeek Harness interface through the visual style of a “Race Control Center.”

Core Features

This plugin uses a layered design to bring F1 broadcast aesthetics into the AI workbench, while ensuring that it does not interfere with host functionality.

  • Four team themes: Supports Oracle Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Ferrari, McLaren Racing, and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Each team has its own brand colors, high-contrast text, and dedicated racing photography background.
  • Design layer separation: The background is an independent scene layer; navigation, input, code, and tool outputs use localized material styling separately, without sacrificing the atmospheric background.
  • Complete design variable coverage: Covers all 79 DSH --dsw-alias-* / --dsw-specific-sidebar-fill design variables, following DSH’s official light, dark, and follow-system three-tier themes.
  • True state mapping: Directly uses DSH’s data-state to represent running, complete, and error states, without displaying fake LIVE or TEAM RADIO indicators.
  • Native settings panel: Implemented through DSH’s official settings.section slot, so it does not float over or obscure conversations or host functionality.
  • Custom wallpaper and memory: Supports uploading JPEG/PNG/WebP backgrounds (≤25 MB) per team, with images stored locally; configuration and wallpaper selection are saved in localStorage.

Install and Enable

This plugin is a DSH Web plugin and cannot be run independently of DSH.

  1. Environment requirements: Make sure DSH CLI 0.1.1-rc.2 or higher is installed.
  2. Install command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-f1-skin
  1. Activation: After installation, restarting dsh web is required for the photo layer and custom wallpaper interface to be mounted.

Usage

After installation and restart, open the DSH Web UI and go to the “Settings → Formula One Teams” panel.

  • Use the “Skin Master Switch” at the top to globally enable or disable the skin.
  • Switch team themes; the system applies the corresponding brand colors and background image.
  • Adjust visual intensity, text underlay, blur level, and animations.
  • Click “Custom Wallpaper” to manage background images for each team.

Notes

  • Unofficial project: This is an unofficial, non-commercial, open-source fan project and has no affiliation, sponsorship, or partnership with Formula 1, FIA, DeepSeek, or any team.
  • License notice: The code is licensed under the MIT License; embedded photos and logos are not converted to MIT. See THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md for full sources.
  • Feature isolation: The plugin works through native slots; turning off the master switch immediately restores the native DSH appearance, without residual styles or dead ends.

Through layered design and native integration, this plugin brings a complete F1 visual experience to the DSH Web UI. It is suitable for developers who want to customize their workbench appearance without sacrificing functionality.
