Preface¶
In the development workflow of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), conversation execution results are usually scattered across log files, and there is a lack of visual task management and scheduling. The dsh-task-board plugin adds an entry in the Web sidebar, provides a five-column task board for managing tasks, and lets DSH conversations actually execute those tasks. Status updates are written back to the cards automatically.
The plugin does not modify DSH source code. After uninstallation, the interface returns to its original state. Board data is stored on the DSH main process (host) side, so desktop and mobile devices opening the same deployment see the same board, and changes are synchronized in real time via SSE. Narrow screens automatically use a compact layout.
Core Capabilities¶
This plugin primarily addresses task visualization, automated execution, and multi-device synchronization.
Five-Column Board and Task List¶
The plugin provides two views. The board uses a five-column layout (To Plan / To Do / In Progress / To Review / Done). Cards are summaries, and conversations contain the content. The task list is the second row in the sidebar panel, mirroring the board. It is an independent document, not a board view, and supports pagination (Inbox / List / Schedule) and multi-select batch operations.
Real Execution and AI-Driven¶
Tasks are executed through DSH conversations and automatically move to To Review after completion. It provides two slash commands, /task and /task-continue, as well as three tools. The AI determines how to record tasks based on context, without requiring a manually hardcoded workflow.
Multi-Device and Automation¶
Data is stored in ~/.dsh/storages/dsh_task_board/ on the DSH main process, while the browser maintains an optimistic copy. It supports offline mode, scheduled tasks, session-level automation, and batch cruising. Narrow screens automatically use a compact layout.
Installation and Enablement¶
The plugin requires DSH 0.1.7-rc.2 or later, and Node.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0. Make sure you are using the web profile.
- Run the installation command in the terminal:
dsh plugin --profile web add @firetruck666/dsh-task-board
- Stop and restart
dsh web. Refreshing the page alone is not enough, because the host half runs inside the server process. - After restarting, refresh the page. The “Task Board” entry will appear in the sidebar.
The plugin does not require manual configuration and can be used immediately after installation. There are no settings or a settings panel.
Data Storage¶
The source of truth for the plugin’s data is on the host side of the DSH main process.
- Board and List: stored under the
~/.dsh/storages/dsh_task_board/documents/directory.board.jsonstores the task ledger, cruising, and scheduled tasks;items.jsonstores the task list. - Browser cache: uses
localStoragefor offline mirrors, with keysdsh.taskBoard.v1(board) anddsh.taskBoard.items.v1(list). Both should be backed up.
Notes¶
- Restart required: after modifying host-side code or installing the plugin, you must restart
dsh webfor changes to take effect. - No manual configuration required: the installation command automatically handles
cordis.patch.yml; do not add it manually. - Interface recovery: uninstalling the plugin does not delete data, and the interface returns to its original state after uninstallation.
