Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, and its default Web UI is designed for desktop interaction. In mobile portrait or narrow-screen scenarios, the original layout is often difficult to use. dsh-maestro-mobile is designed to solve this problem: it takes over the DSH Web interface as a plugin and automatically adjusts the layout structure on touch-first devices with widths below 1024px. The plugin is maintained by ddtcorex and licensed under the MIT license.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is a layout adaptation layer optimized specifically for mobile devices. When it detects a screen width smaller than 1024px on a touch device, it converts the sidebar into a left-side overlay drawer, converts dialogs into bottom sheets, and adapts safe-area handling. Conversely, on desktop devices or non-touch devices, the plugin remains a no-op.

Core Features

  • Sidebar to Drawer: On mobile devices, the sidebar becomes a left-side overlay drawer (approximately 80vw wide), showing the full content when opened.
  • Dialogs to Sheets: Settings, the resource manager, and the preview window become bottom sheets, with support for env(safe-area-inset-*) to handle notches.
  • Status Bar and Safe Areas: Handles status-bar padding, notch avoidance, and theme-color, and enables touch-action: manipulation to prevent double-tap zoom.
  • Writing Area Anchoring: The permission capsule, model name, and switch menu use fixed-size anchoring to prevent compression or overlap on narrow screens.
  • Tablet Adaptation: For tablet devices between 768px and 1023px, sheets are centered with constrained widths.
  • Diagnostic Mode: Provides a debug URL to inspect viewport, frame, floating panels, and JS error status.

Installation and Enablement

Install it using DSH’s official plugin command:

dsh plugin --profile web add @ddtcorex/dsh-maestro-mobile

After installation or after modifying the source code, you must restart the dsh web process to apply the changes.

Debugging

Append a debug parameter to the URL used to start dsh web to display a floating diagnostic bar:

  • New version: ?dsh-maestro-mobile-debug=1
  • Legacy (compatible): ?mobile-nav-debug=1

Environment Requirements and Notes

  • Runtime Environment: The web profile of DeepSeek Harness must be running first (pnpm dsh web).
  • Dependency Versions:
    • Node.js ≥ 22
    • pnpm ≥ 11
    • Chromium 105+ (for the :has() selector)
  • Build Output: The lib/ directory contains build artifacts and is gitignored. Run pnpm build after modifying the source code to generate it.
  • Trigger Conditions: The plugin only activates when the screen width is less than 1024px and the device is a touch device. It will not run on mouse-driven windows, narrow desktop windows, or zoomed display windows.
