The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem emphasizes the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. When developing intelligent agent workflows, it is sometimes necessary to directly invoke low-level DevOps tools rather than write generic plugins. ddtcorex/dsh-maestro-govard is designed to solve the integration challenge between the Govard tool and DSH sessions. Instead of embedding Go code, it acts as a lightweight bridging layer that registers Govard workspace/project tools as callable DSH tools.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is a DSH plugin maintained by ddtcorex and part of the Maestro Harness suite. It does not include the core engine code of Govard. Rather, it serves only as a bridge layer that exposes Govard’s capabilities to DSH sessions.
Core Capabilities¶
- Shell-invocation tool registration: The plugin registers a set of tools by invoking the
govardbinary. It supports environment start/stop, command execution inside containers, database import/export, and debug configuration. These tools useschemastery-typedparameters, ensuring accurate parameter validation. - Read-only deployment checks: It provides two tools:
govard_deploy_planandgovard_deploy_check. The former generates a machine-readablekind: "plan"document, while the latter performs pre-deployment checks on the target. These two tools can retrieve some information without establishing a remote connection. - Path resolution: The path resolution logic of the tools is consistent with the Maestro suite, ensuring accurate context recognition.
Installation and Prerequisites¶
Installing the plugin requires using the official command. Before installation, ensure that the govard binary has been built and is available.
dsh plugin --profile web add @ddtcorex/dsh-maestro-govard
Prerequisite Notes:
1. The Govard engine is an independent Go codebase and must be built separately (usually by running make build in the govard repository).
2. This bridging plugin expects the govard binary to be available in the system PATH or under a configured path.
Usage Examples¶
The plugin provides two main command categories. Both support the projectPath parameter. If this parameter is missing, the plugin will fall back sequentially to the configured root directory or the current session workspace.
- View deployment plan:
govard_deploy_planis used to retrieve the resolved pipeline of a remote project and return it in the form of a machine-readable plan document. - Pre-deployment check:
govard_deploy_checkperforms a pre-check workflow before sending modification commands to the target.
Applicable Scenarios and Cautions¶
- Permission risks: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Deployment modification operations still execute in the terminal, but it is recommended to validate the functionality on a real Govard administrative project before delivering it to agents.
- Dependency separation: Do not confuse the Govard engine with this plugin. This plugin acts only as a bridge and does not embed Go code.
- Source code review: Before installation, review the source code and license (MIT).
Summary¶
By using a lightweight bridging approach, this plugin introduces the rich tooling capabilities of Govard into the DSH ecosystem. It is suitable for scenarios that require fine-grained control over infrastructure and deployment processes.
