Introduction¶
When using the terminal interface (acryl-cli) of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), file operations typically require leaving the current TUI environment. acryl-dsh-editor-plugin-cli provides a native /files command, allowing users to browse, view, and edit files directly within the terminal interface without switching context. This is the TUI-native implementation of acryl-dsh-editor-plugin-web.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by cordisplugins and is part of the DSH ecosystem. It registers commands through the tuiCommands extension point of acryl-cli (spec 034 T009 or later). Unlike the web plugin, the CLI plugin runs directly in the same process without a Host/Client split; therefore, the plugin code registers commands and reads/writes files directly via apply(ctx), without requiring an additional communication protocol.
Core Features¶
- File tree browsing: Supports browsing from the root directory, directories sorted first, and
..to return to the parent directory. - Navigation: Supports Vim-style
h/j/k/lkeys along with arrow keys for navigation. - Directory filtering: Press
/to enable incremental, case-insensitive name filtering. - File viewer: Supports scrolling and displays line numbers.
- Inline editing: Press
ein view mode to enter editing, supporting cursor movement, character insertion/deletion, and line breaks; pressctrl+sto save. The save mechanism uses temporary file renaming to prevent file corruption caused by aborted writes. - Back navigation:
Escapecan return one directory level at a time, or exit view/edit/search mode.
Installation and Activation¶
Install the plugin using the dsh CLI:
dsh plugin --profile <name> add acryl-dsh-editor-plugin-cli
After installation, restart acryl tui and type /files at the prompt to launch it.
System Requirements and Limitations¶
- Environment requirement: Node.js >= 20 is required.
- Dependency requirement:
acryl-climust supporttuiCommands(spec 034 T009 or later). - Compatibility: On platforms such as Web or Desktop that do not support
tuiCommands, the plugin entry remains inactive and does not cause a crash. - Known gaps: cross-file/recursive search, git diff, Markdown rendering, and syntax highlighting.
Summary¶
This plugin provides basic file management capabilities for the DSH terminal interface, making it suitable for developers who frequently need to view and modify configuration files or code in a TUI.
