Introduction

The core capabilities of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) are extended through plugins. The original dsh-music-player includes features such as online QQ Music, KuGou Music, and AI book narration (TTS). dsh-music-plus is a modified version based on the original. It removes online music and AI book narration capabilities, adds podcast RSS subscription and internet radio features, and focuses on local audio streaming playback and podcast listening.

Installation and Enabling

2. Install into a Profile

Use the dsh plugin add command and pass the local directory path as an argument.

3. Desktop Version Installation Note

The Desktop version (DSH Desktop) cannot use the command above; it must use the application’s built-in CLI.

4. Restart the Application

After installation is complete, restart DSH or refresh the web page. The playback bar will appear above the chat area.

Typical Usage

After installation, you can use the following features from the chat dialog or the playback panel:

  • Play local music (e.g., “Play Jay Chou’s songs”)
  • Play a custom playlist (e.g., “Play the playlist My Favorite”)
  • Play internet radio (e.g., “Play a jazz radio station” or “Play NTS”)
  • Control playback (e.g., “Pause / Continue / Next track”)

Notes

  • Installation method: You must install it using a local directory path; installation by npm package name is not supported.
  • Environment requirement: Node.js >= 20 is required.
  • Desktop limitation: The Desktop version must be installed using the application’s built-in CLI command; otherwise, it will report an error.
  • Internet requirement: Podcast subscription and internet radio require an internet connection.
  • Resume playback: Only local music and podcasts support resume playback; internet radio does not.
  • Spectrum limitation: The spectrum display may be missing due to CORS restrictions from the source site, but playback is not affected.
