Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is mainly used for agent development and debugging. Staring at interfaces for long periods can cause visual fatigue. The dsh-desktop-pet plugin floats an orange kitten in the bottom-right corner of the DSH Web interface. The kitten features pure CSS animation effects such as blinking, tail-wagging, and purring, and supports dragging and click interactions, serving as a lightweight companion tool during development.

What It Is

This plugin is maintained by Ares-song-RD and belongs to the fun dress-up category. It does not rely on any image resources; it is implemented using inline SVG and pure CSS animations only. The browser side depends on React, and the server side depends on Cordis. After installation, the DSH application must be restarted for the plugin to take effect.

Core Features

  • Dragging and position memory: Supports dragging the kitten to any position with the mouse. Position information is automatically saved to localStorage, and the position automatically converges when the window is resized.
  • Interactive behavior:
    • Single click: The kitten jumps and displays a random voice bubble (the bubble language follows the interface language).
    • Double click: Cyclically switches the mood state (daydreaming → sleeping → excited).

Installation and Activation

Before installation, make sure the Node version is >= 20.

Typical Usage

  1. After starting the DSH application, the kitten automatically appears in the bottom-right corner and begins blinking and wagging its tail.
  2. Hold the kitten with the mouse and drag it to any position. The position remains unchanged on the next startup.
  3. Single click the kitten: the kitten jumps and displays a random voice bubble (for example, “Pat it, energy +1”).
  4. Double click the kitten: switch the mood state (for example, from daydreaming to sleeping).
  5. Right click the kitten: choose to hide it, change the mood, or view about information.
  6. In DSH’s Settings page → Desktop Pet, enable or disable the display, toggle animations, or manually select a mood.

  • The browser side depends on React.
  • The DSH application must be restarted after installation.
