Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) keeps each session (Session) in its associated workspace (Workspace) by default. As the session list grows, quickly returning to a few active sessions requires repeatedly scanning the list. DSH Pinned Sessions adds a compact pinned area below the workspace title, allowing users to pin important sessions without changing the native list structure.

Plugin Overview

Name: DSH Pinned Sessions
Owner: Anionex
Core value: Fast access to active work from the top of the sidebar; keeps native organization intact; uses familiar operations; handles precise session identity; local storage; supports keyboard navigation.

Installation and Activation

Install it with a Web or Desktop profile, or run the following two commands:

dsh plugin add @anionex/dsh-pinned-sessions --profile web
dsh plugin add @anionex/dsh-pinned-sessions --profile desktop

After installation, refresh the Web interface or restart the Desktop client to activate it.

Usage

  1. In the menu (ellipsis menu) of any native session, select Pin session.
  2. The pinned copy appears below the workspace title, ordered by most recently pinned.
  3. To remove it, select Unpin session from the menu of any pinned row.

Features and Compatibility

The plugin provides a full native operations menu for pinned rows:
* Web profile: Supports Rename, Fork session, Unpin session, and Archive session.
* Desktop profile: Supports all of the above Web operations, plus Delete session. Note: The delete option is displayed only when the Archive Manager exposes this capability.

How It Works and Data

  • Storage mechanism: The plugin stores Session IDs and pinnedAt timestamps in the browser’s localStorage, under the key dsh.pinned-sessions.v1.
  • Rendering logic: shell.overlay listens to the sidebar workspace slot and injects the pinned list above the native list.
  • Data limit: A maximum of 500 stored IDs are retained, and archived or no longer existing sessions are cleaned up automatically.

Notes

  1. Local scope: Pinned items belong to the current DSH browser origin/profile and are not synchronized across devices.
  2. Native relationship: Pinned rows are copies of native rows; they do not move or remove the original rows.
  3. API version: The plugin is built based on the pre-0.2.0 DSH client API. If DSH updates the client contract, a compatible plugin version must be installed.
