Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) allows you to run agents locally. When users are away from their desktop, interacting directly through WeChat lets the computer keep working. This plugin establishes the connection through the official WeChat ClawBot (Tencent iLink) channel, without requiring a second account or web-login workarounds.

Plugin Overview

wechat-clawbot is a DSH plugin package maintained by Alphainfix. It integrates DSH agents with WeChat, allowing users to send commands via mobile WeChat to have DSH process files, edit documents, or run scripts, and return the results to the chat window.

Installation and Activation

  1. Install the plugin
    Run the following command in your terminal:
    dsh plugin --profile web add wechat-clawbot

After installation, restart DSH.

    Run the login command in your terminal and scan the QR code that appears:
    npx -y -p wechat-clawbot clawbot login

    A new contact named “WeChat ClawBot” appears in WeChat. After DSH starts, it detects the connection within a few seconds, and you can begin chatting without restarting.

  • Image understanding: After sending a photo, the model can directly analyze the image content.
  • Status simulation: While thinking, working, or sending files, it displays the “typing…” status.

  • Quote understanding: By using WeChat’s quote-reply feature, the agent can clearly understand which older message the user is referring to.

Limitations and Considerations

  • Single-chat limitation: Group chats and voice messages are not supported.
  • Account binding: Each DSH installation is bound to only one WeChat account.
  • Runtime status: When the computer is turned off or DSH is not running, the bot is offline. The reminder feature also requires the computer and DSH to remain running.
  • Permission verification: Messages are accepted only from the person who scanned the QR code to log in. All approval requests are sent through WeChat.
  • Data storage: WeChat connection and long-term memory data are stored in the ~/.dsh/clawbot/ directory.
  • Environment requirements: Requires DSH 0.1.7 or later, Node.js 22+, and pnpm. The official “WeChat ClawBot” plugin must be installed on the WeChat mobile client.
