Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports saving conversation history, but locating specific information in a large volume of history can often be difficult. Built-in sidebar search is usually limited to the currently open session. dsh-memory-search-plus addresses this issue. It is a standalone Web plugin that maintains a local, storage-limited SQLite FTS5 index, enabling full-text search across all sessions.
Core Features¶
- Local, cross-session full-text search
- Based on SQLite FTS5, with Chinese tokenization support
- Message-level pinpointing: clicking a result jumps to the specific message in the session
- ChatGPT/VSCode-style UI: open via sidebar pill or keyboard shortcut
- Incremental indexing: new events are appended to the index
- Runs entirely locally: no network calls or telemetry
Installation¶
Prerequisites: DeepSeek Harness 0.1.1-rc.2 or later.
Installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:the-thinker0/dsh-memory-search-plus
After installation, start the Web interface:
dsh web
Usage¶
In the Web interface, you can open the search panel via the sidebar pill or the shortcut <kbd>Ctrl</kbd>/<kbd>Cmd</kbd>+<kbd>Shift</kbd>+<kbd>F</kbd>. Clicking a search result navigates to the corresponding session and highlights the message.
Notes¶
- Runs entirely locally, with no network calls or telemetry.
- SQLite/FTS safe deletion is enabled.
- Requires DeepSeek Harness 0.1.1-rc.2 or later.
Conclusion¶
This plugin addresses the pain point of historical conversation retrieval in DSH through a local indexing mechanism. For more details, see the GitHub repository.
