Introduction

The core design philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” In daily development or conversation scenarios, frequently typing fixed phrases or templates is a common pain point. The dsh-quick-phrases plugin solves the problem of repetitive work by providing a clickable quick-phrase bar above the input box and supporting a /-triggered menu.

What Is It

This is a pure client-side plugin for version v0.7.5, maintained by xianrui69 and released under the MIT license. It requires no build steps, runs directly in the browser, and stores data in a local host file.

Core Features

The plugin mainly provides the following capabilities:

  1. Quick bar chip fill-on-click: Displays a floating chip above the input box. Clicking it fills the content into the input box (if content already exists, a space is appended before insertion).
  2. ➤ Click-to-send: Each phrase can independently enable an “auto-send” switch. After writing the draft, it performs validation and confirmation before submission.
  3. / menu: Typing / opens a top-pinned “Phrases” group (only phrases with the / flag enabled are shown).
  4. /name + Enter: Typing a phrase name and pressing Enter automatically expands it into the full content (applies to all phrases and is not limited by menu switches).
  5. ★ Pin / ↑↓ Sort: Supports adjusting priority in both the menu and the quick bar.
  6. Floating drag + position memory: The bar can be dragged and remembers its offset relative to the input box, following layout changes.
  7. ⚙ Manage: Click “⚙ Manage” on the bar to open a floating panel. You can add, delete, and modify entries, import/export JSON, and restore defaults; the panel and bar move as a single unit.
  8. Settings page entry: Keeps a “Quick Phrases” navigation entry inside the DSH settings dialog.
  9. Host file persistence: Data is stored in $DSH_HOME/storages/dsh-quick-phrases/phrases.json (atomic writes). It does not enter session logs or affect model context.

Installation

Use the official command to install it into the web profile:

dsh plugin --profile web add <本包路径>

Usage

  1. Click a chip: Directly fills the phrase into the input box.
  2. Type /: Opens the menu for fuzzy filtering or selection.
  3. /name + Enter: Quickly expands a specific phrase.
  4. Click “⚙ Manage”: Opens the floating panel to edit entries.
  5. Open “Settings” → “Quick Phrases”: Edit items inside the settings page.

Notes

  • Multi-window rollback: If multiple DSH windows are open at the same time, phrases added in a newer window may be rolled back by older windows. This is because the plugin uses host-file full-table overwrite writes and has no conflict-detection mechanism. A temporary workaround is to keep only one window open while editing, then refresh the other windows after changes.
  • Data isolation: Data is persisted only in the local $DSH_HOME directory and does not enter session logs or affect model context.

Conclusion

This plugin uses a pure client-side approach to integrate commonly used phrases and templates into the input flow, reducing manual copy-and-paste steps. Because the data remains fully local, it does not pollute session records or model context. For more details and source code, see: GitHub | Community Directory.
