Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is built on the philosophy of “everything is a plugin.” When developing multi-step automation tasks or complex Agent workflows, pure code composition is often not intuitive and can be costly to maintain. The following introduces DeepSeek Harness Node Flow, a visual workflow plugin for DSH that provides a drag-and-drop canvas for orchestrating subagents, code, conditions, and scheduled tasks.

Plugin Positioning

This plugin is maintained by CodermanYHZ and is open-sourced under the MIT license. It combines Agent invocations, TypeScript / Python code, conditional logic, and loop control into a directly executable flowchart, making it suitable for quickly building automation tasks and multi-step Agent workflows.

Core Capabilities

Visual Orchestration

By dragging nodes and connecting ports, data and execution paths are visually displayed on the canvas. After selecting a node, you can configure its name, model, prompt, timeout, and failure-handling policy in the property panel on the right.

Node Types

The canvas supports several node types:
* Trigger: the workflow entry point, passing trigger content.
* Schedule: scheduled execution using a 5-field Cron expression.
* Agent: invokes a DSH sub-Agent, supporting inheritance of the current model or a specified model route.
* Code: runs TypeScript or Python in the host.
* If / Switch / Loop / While: handles branching, looping, and dispatch.
* Output / Note: displays results or adds annotations.

Execution Feedback and Failure Strategy

Nodes display runtime status, and the actually traversed connection path is highlighted. Code / Agent nodes can set a timeout and one of two failure policies: “stop the branch” or “continue with null values”.

Scheduled Tasks and Import/Export

Cron scheduling is supported. You can view, run immediately, or cancel tasks in the task panel. Workflows can be exported to files for easy backup and reuse.

Installation and Activation

The project has not yet been published to npm. Please install it directly from the public GitHub repository:

dsh plugin --profile web add git+https://github.com/CodermanYHZ/dsh-node-flow.git

After installation, restart the Web UI:

dsh web

After entering DSH, open Node Mode from the sidebar to use it.

Typical Usage

  1. Click Add Node, and select a node or built-in example from the left panel.
  2. Drag node ports to create connections, and fill in parameters in the property panel on the right.
  3. Click ▶ Run at the top, and observe node status and the actual execution path.
  4. Use Export to save the workflow as a file, or create a Cron schedule via Scheduled Tasks.

Notes

Code Runtime Bound Invocations

Bound invocations for the DSH Code Runtime must be passed parameters that can be losslessly serialized to JSON. Therefore, they should be written as dsh.input(null) and dsh.now(null), and the arguments must not be omitted.

Host Service Dependencies

The plugin depends on the DSH host providing services such as ctx.webServer, ctx.codeRuntime, ctx.agents, ctx.subagents, and ctx.llm. React, ReactDOM, and @deepseek-ai/cordis are provided by DSH as Peer Dependencies.
