In DeepSeek Harness (DSH) use cases, switching interface themes often requires restarting the application or running command-line operations. The dsh-skin-market plugin is designed to address this issue. It integrates community skin libraries into the DSH settings interface, supporting search, sorting, and one-click installation.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by keman-ai and licensed under the MIT License. Its core value lies in transforming terminal operations into GUI operations, making theme management more convenient.
Core Features¶
- Search, sort, and install: Browse and install community skins directly within the interface.
- Build type indicators: Shows whether a skin is a prebuilt package or built from source, helping estimate installation time.
- Offline support: Reads local configuration files, so the installed list can be viewed without internet access.
- Diagnostic tools: Provides diagnostic information for pnpm and failed installations.
- Management controls: Enable, disable, or uninstall skins in the “Installed” tab.
Installation and Activation¶
- Run the installation command (note the
-wparameter):
dsh plugin --profile web add -w github:keman-ai/dsh-skin-market
- Restart DeepSeek Harness.
- Open the Settings menu and go to the Skin Market page.
Typical Usage¶
- Install: After selecting a skin from the Catalog page, refresh the page to make it take effect. No restart or extra command is needed.
- Uninstall: Uninstall a skin using the plugin’s built-in “Installed” tab, or use the command:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-skin-market
Notes and Limitations¶
- The
-wparameter is required: This plugin depends onpnpm-workspace.yaml, so it must be declared to install to the workspace root directory. - Profile restriction: You must use the
webprofile. Headless or TUI profiles lackwebServer, so the plugin cannot be activated. - Environment requirements: The system must have Node.js >= 20 and pnpm installed, and pnpm must be in the PATH.
- Network and permissions: Browsing and searching do not require network access, but installation requires a local loopback connection.
- Uninstallation behavior: Removing the plugin does not remove installed skins; they remain independent dependencies.
Ecosystem Context¶
DSH follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. The skin catalog associated with this plugin (dsh.a2hmarket.ai) is a community site and is not directly affiliated with the official DeepSeek organization.
