DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture, with extension capabilities mainly centered on the Web interface. dsh-whale-widget-plus is a widget plugin located in the bottom-right corner of the DSH Web interface, maintained by user louke6572. Through four sets of expression assets and mood animations, it integrates monitoring of DeepSeek balance and Volcano Engine Coding Plan usage into daily interactions.
Core Features¶
This plugin mainly includes the following capabilities:
- Switching Between Four Expression Sets: Supports four asset sets from v1 to v4, each containing 18-33 images. Supports localStorage memory, so the selection is retained after page refresh.
- Dual Data Mode: Supports querying Volcano Engine Coding Plan usage and official DeepSeek balance. Supports multi-account polling.
- Mood Animations: Rapid consecutive clicks trigger anger, hover triggers shyness, prolonged lack of interaction triggers sadness, and quota ≥90% triggers fatigue.
- Line System: Built-in 6 random line sets, supports adding, removing, and editing custom lines, and supports manually pinning a selection. Expressions and lines are separated.
- Adjustable Parameters: Size, bubble color, blink frequency, sound effects, and manual lock.
- Desktop Support: Supports desktop versions with
dsh >= 0.1.7-rc.2, mounted via thedsh.clientmodule.
Installation and Activation¶
The installation process consists of two parts: the base widget and the Volcano data source.
- Install the base widget
dsh plugin --profile web add link:C:\path\to\dsh-whale-widget-plus
- Install the Volcano data source (optional, required for Volcano mode)
dsh plugin --profile web add link:C:\path\to\dsh-whale-widget-plus\plugins\volc-usage
-
Configure credentials
Configure Volcano credentials in.credentials.yamlunder theDSH_HOME(default~/.dsh) directory. -
Refresh the page
Restart thedsh webservice, then perform a browser hard refresh with Ctrl+F5 to see the little whale.
Implementation and Security¶
- Security Mechanisms: Credentials are never exposed to the frontend. All API Key / AccessKey are used only on the Node side, and the frontend only receives normalized percentages or amounts.
- Web Mode Mounting: Injected via
webServer.tapIndex. - Desktop Mounting: The desktop interface does not use HTTP page injection. The plugin declares a client module via
dsh.clientinpackage.jsonand is automatically mounted when the client starts.
This plugin achieves data visualization without exposing API keys by using local storage and same-origin data retrieval. It is suitable for users who want to monitor DeepSeek balance and usage intuitively while developing with or using the DSH Web interface.
