When developing DeepSeek agents, developers often want the working environment to align with personal habits. The default styling of the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web interface is relatively fixed. This article introduces a plugin that allows local management of wallpapers and skins, without relying on server storage, and adapts to DSH language settings.
Plugin Overview¶
dsh-custom-skin is a plugin maintained by SLin-code for setting custom wallpapers and semi-transparent skins in DSH Web. It processes data directly in the browser and does not go through the DSH server.
Core Features¶
- Local image management: Supports uploading or dragging local images, with a maximum of 24 images and each image no larger than 20MB.
- Language synchronization: Selecting Chinese or English on the plugin page updates the DSH Web interface language and uses the language preference saved by DSH.
- Visual adjustments: You can adjust the image fit, position, mask, blur, and panel opacity.
- Theme adaptation: Automatically follows DSH light and dark theme changes.
- Data storage: Images are stored in the browser’s IndexedDB, configuration is stored in localStorage, and nothing is uploaded to the DSH server.
Installation and Enablement¶
- Run the installation command in the root directory of the DSH repository.
pnpm dsh plugin --profile web add github:SLin-code/dsh-custom-skin
pnpm dsh web
- Open Settings in the lower-left corner of the Web interface and select Personalization to configure.
Typical Usage¶
Open Settings, select Personalization. Click the upload button or drag in an image to change the wallpaper. Switching the language at the top of the page changes the entire DSH Web interface accordingly.
Use Cases and Notes¶
Suitable for developers who need to manage multiple wallpapers locally, want a consistent interface style, or need to switch between Chinese and English frequently.
- Data isolation: Wallpapers are isolated by browser and site origin. If you open DSH in another browser, different port, or remote address, you need to add the images again.
- Data cleanup: Clearing this site’s browser data will delete the saved wallpapers.
- Privacy and security: All operations are completed locally, so there is no need to worry about privacy uploads.
After completing the above steps, you can fully control the visual presentation of DSH Web. The plugin source code is available at GitHub under the MIT license.
