In the DSH (DeepSeek Harness) development workflow, before executing specific tasks, you typically need to confirm that the current environment has the necessary components (such as memory, search, and observability). Manually checking these states is error-prone. The dsh-infra-bootstrap plugin provides a minimal infrastructure entry point; it directly probes the mounted component stack through tools and outputs the readiness status.
Core Positioning¶
This plugin is maintained by Bryan-cmf and is intended to serve as the “minimal entry point” for infrastructure. It does not handle specific business logic; instead, it focuses on checks. By probing the mounted stack, it can confirm whether modules such as memory, observability, search, and the skills directory are available, and output a structured readiness report.
Main Features¶
The plugin provides two core tools, along with a set of supporting probe logic:
-
infra_status
- Probes the status of each component.
- Outputs the current infrastructure runtime status line by line.
-
infra_bootstrap
- Performs the same probe process as
infra_status. - Outputs a summary judgment at the end:
PASS(passed) orWARN(warning).
- Performs the same probe process as
-
Probe Scope
The plugin checks the following components and states:vectorMemoryservice records- Sibling tools:
usage_report,audit_skills,infra_health,mem_save,mem_search,cross_search - Skills directory size
- Number of active agents and sessions
Installation and Enablement¶
Add the following configuration to the DSH configuration file to enable the plugin:
"dsh": {
"profile": {
"bundles": ["@bryan-cmf/dsh-infra-bootstrap"]
}
}
Usage Notes¶
After installation, you can invoke the tools above from the command line. The plugin lists all probeable items.
- Dependency Check: The sibling packages depended on by the plugin are optional. If a sibling package is found missing at runtime, the tool output explicitly displays
MISSINGand tells you what needs to be installed. - Prerequisites: Using this plugin requires DSH version
>= 0.1.0-rc.6, and the current process must have loaded thetoolsandskillsservices.
Use Cases and Cautions¶
- Environment Self-Check: Suitable for quickly verifying infrastructure connectivity before starting an agent workflow.
- Permission Scope: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Please ensure you review its source code and license (MIT) before installation.
Using infra_status or infra_bootstrap, you can quickly obtain a health overview of the current environment and decide whether to proceed with subsequent operations.
