In DeepSeek Harness (DSH) workflows, agents often need to make assertions about file contents, configuration files, or remote resources. Manually validating these assertions is both time-consuming and error-prone. dsh-plugin-verify provides a set of evidence-based verification tools for checking claims, validating configuration, and probing network state.
This is a workflow plugin maintained by 863683348. It aims to address the problem that agents cannot reliably verify their own behavior or environment state.
Core Capabilities¶
The plugin offers the following verification modes:
- Evidence checking: Performs keyword extraction against workspace files and provides line-level citations. Results are classified as
verified(verified),partial(partially supported), orunsupported(no evidence found). - Configuration validation: Validates configuration files. Supports strict JSON parsing and structured YAML smoke tests (checking quotes, brackets, and indentation).
- HTTP URL checking: Probes the availability of HTTP(S) resources, including status codes, redirect targets, and latency.
- NPM package checking: Checks whether an NPM package exists, its latest version, manifest information, and publish time.
- GitHub repository checking: Checks whether a GitHub repository exists, its age, whether it includes the
dsh-plugintopic, and its commit count. - Batch checking: Supports running multiple checks concurrently (claims, configurations, URLs, packages, repositories) and outputs a summary table with confidence scores.
Usage¶
The plugin provides a series of command-line tools. The following are typical use cases:
Check claims in files
verify claim "the plugin pins zod in dependencies"
verify claim "this repo has 12 commits" scope ./some-dir
Validate configuration files
verify config ./cordis.patch.yml
Check remote resources
verify url https://example.com
verify npm dsh-plugin-focus
verify repo 863683348/dsh-plugin-gate
Run batch checks
verify batch claims:["the plugin pins zod"] urls:["https://example.com"] packages:["dsh-plugin-focus"]
Notes¶
- Read-only operations: The plugin does not write files or execute scanned content.
- Claim checking is heuristic: This is not a mathematical proof, but evidence lookup based on keywords. An
unsupportedstatus means no evidence was found and is treated as unconfirmed. - YAML checking limitations: YAML checking is only a structural smoke test and does not include full YAML parser logic.
- Compatibility: Tool schemas are validated against the
@deepseek-ai/dsh-toolsvalue-schema DSL when the plugin is loaded. Early versions had JSON Schema compatibility issues (for example, schema.requiredwas not supported). The fix prevents DSH processes from crashing. If an affected version prevents DSH from starting, remove the plugin or upgrade.
Summary¶
dsh-plugin-verify is suitable for scenarios where code auditing, configuration validation, and resource probing need to be automated within DSH workflows. As a read-only tool, it provides agents with objective verification results without modifying the filesystem state.
