Introduction¶
In DeepSeek Harness (DSH) development scenarios, agent logic often involves collaboration among multiple subagents. Calling ctx.subagents directly in code can easily lead to duplicated logic and make centralized strategy management difficult. dsh-team-runner aims to solve this problem by encapsulating the subagents connection points as reusable, policy-controlled agent teams.
What is it¶
dsh-team-runner is a DeepSeek Harness plugin maintained by user tkr520521 under the MIT license.
Its core value lies in turning fragmented subagents invocations into standard “team” definitions. Users can predefine teams containing roles such as planning, writing, and reviewing, and invoke them through a unified tool interface, simplifying multi-agent orchestration.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following core capabilities:
- team_run: Runs a team definition as a single tool and supports prompt injection.
- team_list: Lists currently available team definitions.
- team_delegate: Delegates to a specific subagent within a team and allows dynamic replacement.
- Policy gating: Limits the number of concurrent delegations through
maxConcurrentDelegationsto prevent resource exhaustion. - Team orchestration: Coordinates the execution order of roles such as planner, writer, and reviewer through
ctx.subagents.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing the plugin requires specifying a profile.
dsh plugin --profile <name> add dsh-team-runner
Prerequisites:
The plugin requires a specific subagent provider, typically spawn or fork.
Configuration file requirements:
You need to add cordis.patch.yml to the profile configuration to enable the tools provided by the plugin.
Typical Usage¶
Configure a team definition in cordis.patch.yml. The following example defines a team named writing with planner, writer, and reviewer roles:
- insert:
- id: dsh-team-runner
name: dsh-team-runner
config:
provider: spawn
maxConcurrentDelegations: 3
teams:
- name: writing
agents:
- role: planner
prompt: 'Plan the task: outline goals, steps, and acceptance criteria.'
- role: writer
prompt: 'Write the full deliverable following the plan.'
- role: reviewer
prompt: 'Review the deliverable for correctness and quality; report issues.'
After configuring, invoke the team with the following command:
Use team_run with team "writing" on: ...
Notes and Applicable Scenarios¶
Applicable Scenarios:
Suitable for scenarios that require a fixed workflow (such as planning -> writing -> reviewing), or for projects that need to combine multiple subagents into standardized components.
Notes:
1. Configuration dependency: Ensure that cordis.patch.yml is correctly configured in the profile.
2. Subagent provider: Ensure that a subagent provider supporting spawn or fork is installed and configured.
3. Runtime permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process; pay attention to the security sandbox policy.
Conclusion¶
dsh-team-runner provides standardized team orchestration capabilities for DeepSeek Harness. By transforming subagents connection points into reusable team definitions, it reduces the complexity of multi-agent collaboration.
