Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) embraces the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. During long AI programming sessions, the standard light interface may not always balance eye comfort and reading experience. dsh-beige-theme aims to provide a softer, more comfortable visual scheme.

What is it

dsh-beige-theme is a beige light theme designed for the DeepSeek Harness Web GUI and maintained by SweetCandy-gift. It delivers a warm, eye-friendly interface experience through component-level visual layer refinements.

Core Features

  • Warm beige light theme: Uses a cream white/beige palette to reduce visual stimulation.
  • Paper-textured UI: Simulates paper cards, glass overlays, a wooden sidebar, and paper-like code pages.
  • Optimized for long AI programming sessions: Visually adapts to extended programming scenarios.
  • Based on the DSH Token System: Implemented through the official --dsw-alias-* token contract without modifying business logic.

Installation and Enablement

This plugin is part of a DSH Profile Bundle and must be configured under the corresponding Profile directory.

  1. Edit $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/package.json.
  2. Add the dependency to dependencies and add the plugin to dsh.profile.bundles.
  3. Run the installation command.
// $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/package.json
{
  "dependencies": {
    "dsh-beige-theme": "github:SweetCandy-gift/dsh-beige-theme"
  },
  "dsh": {
    "profile": {
      "bundles": [
        "@deepseek-ai/dsh-base",
        "@deepseek-ai/dsh-web-app",
        "dsh-beige-theme"
      ]
    }
  }
}

After installation, run the following command to complete initialization:

dsh plugin --profile web install

Typical Usage

  • Interface operation: After starting DSH, go to the Settings → General page, find the Beige Skin option, and toggle it.
  • Console API: Execute window.__beigeSkin.on() in the browser console to enable the theme, or window.__beigeSkin.off() to disable it.

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is decoupled from the color layer and modifies only the visual layer. It is built on the official DSH --dsw-alias-* token contract and stable DOM hooks, and does not touch business logic. It is suitable for developers who prioritize reading comfort during long sessions.
