The architectural philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “Everything Is a Plugin.” In real development, developers often have to manually manage skill files or maintain multiple skill directories. wwumit/dsh-office is a remote Skill Provider that lets skills be installed through the standard ctx.skills registry without manually copying files.
The following sections describe the plugin’s capabilities, installation, and usage.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by wwumit and focuses on office productivity scenarios. It is a DSH plugin that acts as a remote Skill Provider, providing skills to the Harness registry through a line-level JSON directory (catalog-office.json).
This plugin provides only the Office Productivity line (two skills) and does not include other skill lines, such as compliance or plugin tools.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following two skills, both of which run entirely locally:
-
Local Excel Data Analysis
* Function: Performs data analysis on Excel files.
* Feature: Runs fully locally; data never leaves the machine. -
Conversations / Meeting Minutes to PPT
* Function: Converts conversation records or meeting minutes into a professional PPT.
* Feature: Runs fully locally; data never leaves the machine.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installing, ensure the peer dependencies are satisfied: @deepseek-ai/cordis and @deepseek-ai/dsh-skill.
Run the following command to install the plugin:
npm install @wwumit/dsh-office
In the Harness entry file, import and register the plugin:
import { Context } from '@deepseek-ai/cordis';
import * as office from '@wwumit/dsh-office';
export function apply(ctx: Context) {
ctx.plugin(office, {
// catalogUrl 默认指向线级 catalog-office.json,可不传
// catalogUrl: 'https://wwumit.github.io/skills-catalog/catalog-office.json',
});
}
Skill List¶
After installing and enabling the plugin, you can view the following skills using ctx.skills.list():
excel2insights: Local Excel data analysissum2slides-pro: Conversation / meeting minutes → professional PPT
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Target users: Developers who need to use DSH for office automation, data processing, and presentation generation.
- Data handling: All skills are configured with
cloud:false; data is processed locally and is not uploaded. - Scope note: Do not expect this plugin to provide other skill lines, such as compliance or plugin tools.
- Usage recommendation: Before installing, review the source code and license (MIT) to ensure it meets your project’s compliance requirements.
Summary¶
wwumit/dsh-office provides DeepSeek Harness with a set of verifiable office productivity skills through a standardized registry mechanism. It addresses the problem of fragmented skill file management while ensuring localized and secure data processing.
