dsh-deep-verbs: DeepSeek Harness Thinking Status Line Phrase Rotation Plugin

Introduction¶

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) displays the fixed Deep diving... in the thinking status line by default. dsh-deep-verbs is a pure plugin maintained by Winter-And-You-Gone. It solves the static thinking status line by extending it into a bilingual English/Chinese pool of 73 deep-style phrases. It does not modify DSH source code and is released under the MIT license.

Core Features¶

Random turn opening: Randomly draw one phrase from a shuffled bag of 73 phrases for the turn opening.
Event-driven rotation: Change the phrase when a new thinking segment or tool call is attached in the conversation, with at least 3 seconds between two switches.
Click to switch language: Click the status line to toggle the current phrase between Chinese and English; the choice is saved to localStorage.
Non-invasive design: Does not modify @deepseek-ai/dsh-* source code; all DOM writes use a “no write if same value” guard.

Installation and Enablement¶

Run the following command to install:

pwsh install.ps1

The script links the plugin into the profiles/node_modules directory of DSH and registers it in cordis.patch.yml. After installation, fully quit the DSH process and restart it for changes to take effect.

Typical Usage¶

Switch language: Click the status line area to toggle the currently displayed phrase to Chinese or English.
Customize configuration: Adjust the phrase pool, switch interval (MIN_SWITCH_MS), and language memory key in the constants section at the top of client.js.

Caveats¶

If a DSH upgrade changes the built-in text Deep diving... or the marker data-chat-flow-kind, the plugin will degrade to a no-op or retain only the turn-opening random feature.
Changes to client.js require restarting DSH to take effect.
