In the plugin ecosystem of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), directly working with data from chat.deepseek.com usually requires cumbersome crawlers or manual copying. For developers who need to process historical conversations or generate summaries, this is not friendly. The dsh-deepseek-web plugin solves this problem by calling underlying Python scripts, converting web-based conversation data into a programmable read-only interface.

This is a plugin maintained by wilianyichen, aiming to turn DeepSeek web version (chat.deepseek.com) conversation archives into a programmable reading and summarization tool. It reuses Python scripts from the deepseek-ops project via subprocesses, providing capabilities to list items, retrieve full text, search indexes, and generate high-density summaries.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following tools:

  • deepseek_web_list: List conversations (supports up to 100 historical entries and can be filtered by title).
  • deepseek_web_recent: Quick overview of the most recent N conversations (lightweight).
  • deepseek_web_get: Download the full text of a specified conversation to a local archive.
  • deepseek_web_sync: Incrementally sync new conversations locally (L0 archive).
  • deepseek_web_search: Rebuild and search the local conversation index (requires deepseek_index.py).
  • deepseek_web_digest: 100 conversations → one page of high-density summary: includes daily activity histogram, topic clustering, full list, and token estimation.
  • deepseek_web_share_list: List my shares (read-only).

Prerequisites

This plugin depends on Python scripts from deepseek-ops. Before first use, run the following command in the script directory to scan the QR code for login and generate the Token file:

python deepseek_auth.py

After installation, specify scriptDir in the DSH plugin configuration to point to the directory containing deepseek_client.py, deepseek_index.py, and deepseek_auth.py.

Installation

Install using the official repository address:

dsh plugin --profile web add @yichenwilian/dsh-deepseek-web

Configuration Example

Add the following to the DSH plugin configuration file:

- id: dsh-deepseek-web
  name: '@yichenwilian/dsh-deepseek-web'
  config:
    pythonPath: python
    scriptDir: D:/data/BaiduSyncdisk/knowledge-lab/生产管线/scripts

Typical Usage

Use deepseek_web_digest to generate a high-density summary of conversations from the last 30 days:

deepseek_web_digest --days 30

The output will include a daily activity histogram, topic clustering, a full list, and token estimation.

Use Cases and Notes

  • Read-only capabilities: This plugin provides read-only capabilities such as listing, reading, searching, summarizing, and share listing. The DeepSeek web backend rate-limits write operations (sending messages and creating shares), so the plugin does not expose write operation interfaces.
  • Data security: The Token is stored locally in the _deepseek_token.json file. The plugin does not write logs and does not collect any telemetry data.
  • Development environment: The plugin itself only forwards to subprocesses. It requires a Node.js runtime, and you must ensure that Python and the related scripts are installed on the system.

This plugin is suitable for developers who need to batch-process DeepSeek conversation history, generate knowledge summaries, or perform local archiving. For more details, refer to: GitHub repository.
