Preamble

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture and is designed to extend functionality through plugins. In a Web profile environment, managing the main dsh process or operating built-in pet data usually requires command-line assistance. The w2831120407/dsh-ctl plugin integrates system-level control and pet data provisioning into the Web settings panel, reducing the need for terminal operations.

Plugin Introduction

This plugin is maintained by user w2831120407, categorized as admin-security, and licensed under MIT. It is a standard dsh bundle that registers a settings page and runtime services, providing the Web client with process management and pet interaction capabilities.

Core Features

The plugin includes two core features:
1. System Control: Provides one-click entry points in the settings panel to restart or shut down the dsh web process.
2. Dried Fish Provision: Adds dried fish to the built-in “Whale Girl” pet and displays the current stock (maximum of 20).

Installation and Activation

Installing the plugin usually requires linking the local directory into the dsh profile. In an environment where dsh web is already installed, run the following commands:

git clone https://github.com/w2831120407/dsh-ctl.git
dsh plugin --profile web add link:$(pwd)/dsh-ctl

After installation, restart dsh web and refresh your browser. You can then see two tabs in Settings: System Control and Dried Fish Provision.

Usage

  1. System Control: Go to the “System Control” section on the settings page and click the Restart or Shut Down button. The action requires two-step confirmation: the first click changes the button to “Confirm restart?” or “Confirm shutdown?”, and a second click executes the action.
  2. Dried Fish Provision: Go to the “Dried Fish Provision” section on the settings page, enter the amount you want to add, and click Add to apply.

Notes

  • Process-level Operations: Restarting and shutting down are process-level operations that will disconnect the current Web page. You must manually refresh the page afterward.
  • Service Dependency: Dried fish provisioning is implemented by dynamically extending the @linxin666/dsh-pet service at runtime, without modifying files in the pet package. If the pet’s internal structure changes, this feature may temporarily fail (returning an error rather than crashing).
  • Process Matching: By default, it identifies the process by port 3080 and prefers matching the main dsh process by deepseek-ai and bin.js in the command line.

Conclusion

This plugin simplifies daily operations and pet interaction for the DSH Web profile through the Web interface. For more details, refer to its GitHub repository.
