When using the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web interface, the default height of the conversation input box text area is two lines (52px). For scenarios where more draft content needs to be displayed or a more comfortable input experience is desired, this height may be too small. The dsh-composer-height plugin solves this issue by adjusting the minimum height.
This is a DeepSeek Harness Web input box height fine-tuning plugin (client-only). Maintained by user tuogusa, it aims to raise the minimum height of the Web interface conversation input text area from the official default of two lines (52px) to three lines (76px).
Core Features¶
- When the input is empty, the text area displays three lines (76px) by default, and the entire input card becomes taller (the total card height increases from approximately 118px to approximately 142px).
- After the input content exceeds three lines, it still automatically grows according to the official auto-grow logic, up to the official maximum height
--dsh-composer-text-max-height. - The scrolling clearance for the message area is handled by DSH itself, requiring no additional processing.
- It does not modify DSH source code or internal state.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install it using the official installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:tuogusa/dsh-composer-height
This plugin only supports the web Profile.
Typical Usage¶
If you need to customize the height, you can edit the MIN_HEIGHT_PX constant at the top of lib/client.js. The current value of 76 represents three lines, with each line having a height of 24px. After saving, restart DSH and perform Ctrl+Shift+R for a hard refresh to make the change take effect.
Notes¶
This plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and the MIT license before installation.
Summary¶
This plugin adjusts the input box height through simple CSS injection, making it suitable for developers who want to optimize the Web interface input experience. For more information, see the GitHub repository or the community directory.
