During Web interface development, developers often need to keep track of CCF conference deadlines. The plugin introduced below integrates a conference countdown feature into the left sidebar of DeepSeek Harness, making it easy to view directly in the interface.
What It Is¶
sshhhll002/dsh-ccfddl is a sidebar component that runs in the DeepSeek Harness Web interface. It obtains conference data from the open-source project ccfddl/ccf-deadlines; a server process pulls the data and then displays it, so the browser only needs to receive the data.
Core Features¶
-
Location and Interaction
The component is located below the workspace and above the settings area in the left sidebar, with a visual style consistent with the official CordisPlugin. It can be minimized to a single line, and when expanded, it displays real-time countdowns for the nearest upcoming conference deadlines. -
Urgency Colors
Automatically colored based on the remaining days:- Red: less than 7 days
- Orange: 7–30 days
- Green: more than 30 days
- Gray: deadline passed
-
Settings Panel
Settings are stored in the browser’slocalStorageand include four tabs:- Tracking: Tracks all CCF-A conferences by default and supports filtering by field.
- Filters: Supports filtering by time window, sort order, and conference level, as well as options to show abstract deadlines and expired conferences.
- Updates: Supports manual refresh; the default automatic refresh interval is 8 hours.
- About: Displays data-source and version information.
-
Data Fetching
The data comes from the combined dataset ofccfddl/ccf-deadlines. It is pulled by a server process through DeepSeek Harness’s Typert Remote channel, so the browser does not need direct external network access. If the server channel is unavailable, it automatically falls back to a direct browser connection. The server-side cache lasts 5 minutes, so multiple tabs or frequent refreshes do not trigger duplicate requests.
Installation and Enablement¶
Prerequisites: The host process runs Node.js 18 or later and can start dsh web successfully.
Installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:sshhhll002/dsh-ccfddl
Enablement: After installation, restart dsh web and refresh the page to apply the changes.
Typical Usage¶
After starting dsh web, the plugin appears in the left sidebar. By default, it expands to show the countdowns for all CCF-A conferences. Click the settings icon to filter conferences by field or adjust the refresh frequency. Click the plugin title bar to minimize it to a single-line status.
