Introduction

In the DSH (DeepSeek Harness) plugin ecosystem, choice cards are a key component for agents to guide user decisions. Developers often encounter options that are fixed, single-dimensional, or insufficient in number, making it difficult to narrow down choices. The dsh-plugin-choice-refresh plugin directly addresses this pain point by injecting two buttons at the bottom of native choice cards. It does not modify the core package or add new tools; instead, it extends the UI layer so that the model can flexibly adjust its output based on user feedback.

Core Features

In qualifying conversation flows, the plugin automatically displays two action buttons at the bottom of the choice cards for ask_user_question and ask_user_choice:

  1. Regenerate Options: When a user is not satisfied with the current options, clicking this button clears the current question, injects a [System · Refresh Options] message, and asks the model to switch to a new set of options (typically 5 to 8) and ask again. This is suitable for scenarios that require changing the angle, style, or dimension.
  2. More Options: When there are too few options, clicking this button keeps the original options, injects a [System · More Options] message, and asks the model to add new options (keeping the total to between 6 and 10). This is suitable for cases requiring a broader selection or comparison.

This implementation is a “soft” enhancement: the model understands the instructions and then reinvokes the question tool to complete it. Button text supports both Chinese and English, and is automatically switched based on ctx.locale.

Installation and Enablement

Installation requires no configuration files or environment variables. Ensure you are using the DSH Web GUI and meet the version requirements (DSH 0.1.2-rc.1 or higher; version 0.1.5 and later support the new protocol).

The installation command is as follows:

Typical Usage

When the model invokes the ask_user_question or ask_user_choice tool, the buttons “Regenerate Options” and “More Options” automatically appear at the bottom of the choice card.

  • Clicking “Regenerate Options” resets the current question state, the system injects a refresh instruction into the context, and the model generates a new set of options based on the new instruction perspective.
  • Clicking “More Options” prompts the model to supplement the existing options, helping users make a more informed decision within the limited selection space.
